From its convenient location to its comfy beds, this 3-star hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the bonus program was a nice touch. While it's not perfect, I'd definitely recommend Marins Park Hotel to anyone looking for a great value for money in Rostov. Hello everyone, hope you're doing well!
I recently found myself in Rostov, and I had to figure out where to stay. Before I spent hours searching, I narrowed down my criteria for choosing a hotel. Here's what I came up with:
Location.I wanted to be close to the train station, in the city center, with shops and parks within walking distance.
Food.I didn't want to waste time looking for a place to eat. To be honest, I didn't know which cafes and restaurants in Rostov were any good. Cooking my own food wasn't an option either.
Chain hotelsI prefer staying at chain hotels. They tend to maintain a certain level of quality and service, and I can also use their loyalty programs.
Value for money.I was looking for a reasonable price-to-quality ratio, but I didn't want to overpay for a brand name.
I'd had a good experience with Marins Park Hotel 3* in the past, so I had some idea of what to expect. It met all my criteria, so I decided to give it a try.
It's about a 20-minute walk from the bus station and train station to the hotel. A taxi ride costs around 250-300 rubles. The park is also about a 20-minute walk or one stop on public transportation. The waterfront is about a 40-minute walk or you can take any bus to the central market.
Here's what the hotel looks like:
The facade could use a refresh, but the lobby is beautiful, with a relaxation area and white couches. The reception staff were friendly, although not all of them. But they were helpful and answered all my questions. No complaints there.Long corridors, spacious lobbies, and old carpeting - it's not the most modern look, but it's not bad either.
Now, about the room. I had a two-bedroom suite that could fit up to five people. It was just me and my partner, and it was a real treat! The room was huge and spacious, and the soundproofing was top-notch. We could barely hear the kids in the next room, and the traffic noise from the street outside was minimal. In the first room, the decor was:
И вторая комната:
The mattress was a real highlight - clean, fresh sheets, and a bed that felt like a cloud. I was a bit disappointed with the pillow, though - it was a bit too soft for my liking. But, to be fair, I'm used to sleeping on an orthopedic mattress, so anything else feels a bit off. The bathroom was massive, with heated floors - a total game-changer! Our second room was a two-room suite, and the bathroom in that one didn't have heated floors, which was a bit of a letdown. That being said, they did provide all the toiletries we needed, minus the hair conditioner - but we managed to make do.
Now, let's talk about the food. We got breakfast and dinner, and one time we even grabbed lunch. So, we've got a good idea of the different meal options.
I won't say it's gourmet, but it's definitely edible. I'm a breakfast kind of person: oatmeal, protein, and veggies. And that's exactly what I got. They had three types of oatmeal - always the regular kind, but also bulgur and rice. Scrambled eggs (which I'm getting used to), omelets (which didn't quite hit the spot, unfortunately), and a variety of fresh veggies. There was sauerkraut and a beet salad, which was a bit unusual for breakfast, but people were still eating it. I saw pasta, pancakes, and a quiche. And let's not forget the sweets - there was a huge container of Nutella and condensed milk.
The lunch and dinner options were pretty similar, except dinner had a bit more variety, including two soups that everyone seemed to enjoy. And, of course, there was booze - beer on tap, red and white wine. The wine was actually pretty good, especially the white.
I was really impressed with the customer support team. They were helpful and knowledgeable, and they answered all my questions and double-checked everything. I called them a few times, and they kept changing the delivery dates, but they were always polite and professional. I'd definitely recommend Marins Park Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Rostov. The price-to-quality ratio is spot on, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a hassle-free stay.
Now, I know what you're thinking: 'Is it worth it?' My answer is a resounding yes. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, and I'd definitely stay there again. So, if you're looking for a great place to stay in Rostov, look no further than Marins Park Hotel.
