Let me walk you through how we got there.
We took the R255 highway to the right turn for the village of Vedenschina. Then, we just drove through the village. The 2GIS route made it super easy. When the unpaved road started, I kept an eye out for a suitable parking spot because the potholes were getting deeper and it wasn't comfortable driving in my low-slung car. Honestly, you can drive right up to the base of the rock, but we were planning to hike more than drive. We left the car on a meadow about 1 km from the trailhead.
Here's what the trail looks like:
It's a nice, easy walk through the woods, no tight spots near the edge of the cliff. It's not too hot either.

People somehow manage to drive their cars up there and even have picnics, while we're over here jumping around and taking photos in front of the stunning scenery.

It's pretty cool to see some massive trees around here - I wish I could capture their scale in a photo.

But on weekends, you can watch the endless stream of rafts coming down from Shamanka - it's like a movie, with dogs, hookahs, and even people floating by with champagne. Who knows what they're celebrating?
