We've been hooked on a TV series that's been making waves lately, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on it.
I was thrilled to hear that the show was continuing after four seasons.
About the Show
Country: Russia.
Release year for season 4: 2025.
Age rating: 6+.
Director: Arman Marutyan.
Season 4 Breakdown
There are 10 episodes in the fourth season, each ranging from 21-30 minutes long.
Each episode starts with a captivating title sequence.
The Storyline
Let's start from the beginning.
This story began in Armenia in 1979, in a small town called Berd, divided by a lively river. The people in this place are charming, fun, and stubborn. The main characters are schoolgirls Narine (Karina Kagramanyan) and Manunya (Ekaterina Temnova). Narine plays the piano, Manunya plays the violin, and both sing in the choir. During a crucial performance on Victory Day, a bench collapses beneath them, and they meet. It's not long before they become the best of friends, always sitting together, never running out of things to say, and ready to spend 24/7 together.
In the fourth season, we get to see B's childhood.
This all takes place in a format where Manunya's granddaughter and her friends are having a conversation.
I was really surprised to see how the show incorporated animated elements.
Ba shares a story from his life:
He recounts it all with a smile on his face.
They arrive in Bird due to some unexpected circumstances. Ba's father owes creditors, destroyed documents, and wants to start fresh.
And finally, Rose's family arrives in Bird:
Maria's disappointment is palpable - it's not what she was expecting...
But her husband, Joseph - a jack-of-all-trades due to boredom:
I have to say, Maria handles the paperwork like a pro... and with her looks, she's bound to charm anyone:
Rosa finds herself some new friends:
And with them, she gets up to all sorts of antics:
It's even better than Manunya - I loved the continuation:
You'll just have to watch the series to see all the funny and interesting stories for yourself.
Meet the Cast
I'll start with the main characters.
Munya (Ekatrina Temnikova)
She's a bright, fiery redhead who's always coming up with something interesting. She's got boundless energy, but it often gets her into trouble with Ba. Her friend Narine is always there to support her.
Narine (Karina Kagramanian)
Narine's a calm, kind girl who's always thinking before she acts. She tries to talk her friends out of crazy ideas, but she's not immune to getting into trouble herself. She's always looking out for her sister Karine and Munya.
Karine (Karine Mnatsakanian)
Karine's a feisty one. She's always speaking her mind and standing up for herself. Whether she's scolding the boys for their behavior or coming up with some wild scheme, she's always on the go. She's the complete opposite of her sister Narine.
Ba or Rosa Iosifovna (Julietta Stepanyan)
Ba's Munya's grandmother. She's the queen of the household, and you don't want to cross her. She's a complex character with a fiery personality. Her family members often find themselves on the receiving end of her wrath.
Little Ba (Alina Khadartseva)
She's a mischievous little girl, but she's also brave, fair, and kind. She's always up for an adventure and loves to get into trouble. She's got a bit of a feisty streak, just like her father.
Faya (Marina Ovsepyants) - my cousin Rose's sister. She's always ready to be by her side and support her ideas. I've seen her be a great partner in crime, and I've got to admit, it's pretty cool to have a cousin like that.
Rose's Dad, Joseph (Nikolay Avetisyan) - he's a nice young guy. He's got a great exterior and is always coming up with new ideas and trying to make money off them. But, let's be real, he's also a bit of a fibber, especially when it comes to his wife. Still, he's always positive and tries to cheer everyone up when things get tough.
My Thoughts
I'll be honest, we've probably watched this show at least 200 times now, and my daughter has her favorite episodes. She knows them by heart and can recite the lines verbatim. It's become a family tradition, and we all love it.
The fourth season was just as engaging as the previous ones!
My only complaint is that there aren't enough episodes.
The actors all did a fantastic job in their roles! Special shoutout to Rose's mom, Maria – it's fitting that they named her grandchild after her. Maria is played by a gorgeous actress who looks like she stepped out of a different era. Her clothes are always perfectly styled, and her hair is always done beautifully:
She totally embodies the character of a refined lady! And her on-screen husband is a total charmer too. I'd say he's a bit of a scene-stealer – those facial expressions of his are priceless.
And then there's the grandfather – he's a total scene-stealer!
Rosa's affection for him is just adorable – it's the epitome of empathy.
The scenery is just breathtaking! Watching the endless fields, meadows, and landscapes is an absolute treat.
The costume design is spot on for the time period - it's done really well:
The music is just as good as it was in previous seasons - it's done really well and complements the show perfectly.
The portrayal of deprivation and punishment for misbehavior is also really well done. I love how the kids get in trouble for eating treats that aren't meant for them - it's so relatable!
This show is just so good - it's heartwarming, engaging, and has a great storyline. Each episode has its own unique story, and the episode length is just right.
I'd definitely recommend it to fans of the show - it's a must-watch!
Thanks for reading! ✍

Recommendation:
BURATINO kids loved it, and that's the main thing! We watched it in a unique 60fps format, and it was mind-blowing
“Manunya: Buratino's Birthday”:
It was fun and a little sad, but we were completely satisfied with the viewing experience and left the theater feeling pleased
The film “Manunya: New Year's Adventures” turned out to be heartwarming. The journey with those you love is what brings joy, and that's what we got from it.
