A Horrific Experience at Manikuroff - A Warning to Beauty Lovers

summarizeEditor's Summary

I had the misfortune of visiting Manikuroff on M. Alexeevskaya, and it was a total disaster. The nail tech butchered my cuticles, and the work itself was subpar. The photos don't lie – remnants of polish were all over the nails and even on top of them. The customer service was a nightmare, with the staff being rude and unhelpful. I'd advise beauty lovers to steer clear of this place.

A Horrific Experience at Manikuroff - A Warning to Beauty Lovers
I recently had the misfortune of stopping by Manikuroff on M. Alexeevskaya, and I'm still shaking my head about the whole thing.
The nail tech butchered my cuticles, cutting them so badly they started bleeding on all four fingers. To make matters worse, she didn't even bother to apply peroxide to the affected areas right away.
The work itself was subpar, as you can see from the photos. There were remnants of polish all over the nails and even on top of them – it was a total disaster.
The nail tech really took the cake when she told me, 'Your hand is more dead than this one.' I was taken aback by her totally unprofessional comment. As for selection, they had a huge shortage of colors, despite having a ton of options on display. I asked to see a few, but they were all out. The tech seemed annoyed and told me to hurry up and choose a color, like I was wasting her time.
And to make matters worse, she applied the polish with one hand and used her own nail to fix the smudges. That's just not something you want to see in a salon.
I'm a mom with a young kid, and I don't get out often. When I do, I expect at least some basic level of professionalism and safety. But Manikuroff failed miserably on both counts.
After I complained to the manager, they offered to redo the manicure for free, but I was already done with them. I wouldn't even consider going back, and my skin took ages to heal.
So, to all my fellow beauty enthusiasts out there, take this as a warning: Manikuroff is a salon that falls short of expectations. The lack of attention to detail, the unprofessional behavior, and the complete disregard for customer safety are all major red flags.
I've been to my fair share of nail salons, but this one takes the cake for worst experience. The fact that they were willing to offer a redo for free after I complained only serves to highlight the incompetence of the staff.
So, to all the beauty enthusiasts out there, stay far, far away from this place. You're better off going to a DIY nail station, and that's saying something.
I've seen better work at a DIY nail station, and that's not something I thought I'd ever say. The fact that they were willing to offer a redo for free after I complained only serves to highlight the incompetence of the staff.
So, to all the beauty enthusiasts out there, trust me when I say Manikuroff is a salon that's not worth your time or money.
