I've been shopping at MakeUp for years, and I'm still hooked. I've been raving about this online store in my reviews, and it's time I finally wrote a review of my own.
The store's been around since 2009 and has become one of the most well-known and popular online stores in Ukraine. The owners describe their creation as:

There are several reasons why I love shopping on MakeUp:
1) Shopping online is super convenient. You don't have to run around town looking for the product you need; you can just sit at home or at work, find what you want, add it to your cart, pick up your order, pay, and you're done.
2) The interface is really user-friendly, and the search system is a breeze. You can search by brand, purpose, specific fragrance notes, country of origin, and country where the trademark is registered.
3) The product range is massive. I was able to find almost everything I was looking for in cosmetics, from Ukrainian to Korean, French to Italian, and American to Japanese products. You'll find perfume, skincare, makeup, accessories, and even beauty equipment. Sometimes, new products appear even before they hit regular stores.
4) The personal account. Once you register on the site, you'll get your own account where you can save your personal details, preferred delivery method, and order history. 5) Value for money. Honestly, almost everything on this site is cheaper than in regular stores. They often have promotions and gifts, like the last three orders I placed. I got some awesome earbuds, a headband, a toothbrush, and three L'oreal masks as gifts. And that's not even counting the initial discounts, which are already lower than what you'd find in regular stores.6) Shipping. Before the pandemic, I used to get my packages delivered to my workplace, and that worked out just fine. The delivery guys were always super friendly, punctual, and would give me a heads up about their arrival time at least 30 minutes in advance. Delivery to my workplace was free, and it usually took place the very next day after I placed the order. I can count on one hand the number of times delivery was delayed by a couple of days, and that was usually during holidays or after Black Friday. But hey, it's always better to be safe than sorry, so I wouldn't recommend placing orders in the evening if you need them the next day.
But things changed when the pandemic started. The delivery guy in my area wasn't exactly the friendliest, and he'd show up with barely any notice. I'd be sitting at home in my PJs, trying to get some work done, and it was just impossible to get ready in time. So, I switched to shipping with Nova Poshta. It's even more convenient than having it delivered to my workplace, but you do have to wait a day or two for the package to arrive. If your order is over 599 hryvnia, shipping is free (pre-pandemic, it was free at 500 hryvnia). If your order is under 599 hryvnia, shipping costs 39 hryvnia (pre-pandemic, it was 19).
7) Quality. I've never had any issues with the quality of the products. Not once have I received a damaged package, nothing's ever been broken or spilled. The perfumes I've ordered from MakeUp have been just as good as the ones I've bought in Paris at Sephora. The sprays always work, and the packaging is never torn.
I also appreciate the fact that they started using paper packaging a few years ago instead of plastic bags. It's great to see stores taking environmental concerns seriously.
Customer support is top-notch. If you've got any issues with your order, you can hit up their hotline or shoot them a message on Facebook. They respond super fast and give you all the info you need to resolve the problem.Vision of some of my orders:
Now, I will admit, there are a few downsides to shopping at MakeUp.1) Sometimes the delivery guys aren't super friendly. It's not a huge deal, but it's worth mentioning.
2) Occasionally, I've gotten products with expired dates. I mean, it's not the end of the world, but it's still a bit of a bummer. Like, I got a perfume from Mademoiselle Rochas in the spring of 2020, but the expiration date was 2018. The store didn't seem too fussed about it, though.
I get it, it's just perfume, but what if it was a face cream? It's not exactly the best impression.
3) The product descriptions on the site don't always include the full ingredient list. I've bought a few face creams and masks where the site said there were no parabens, but the packaging said otherwise. It's just a bit of a hassle.
Still, MakeUp is my go-to store for all things beauty, and I'm back there every month. Sure, they've got some flaws, but they're not deal-breakers. And let's be real, you can find expired products anywhere.
