I was super excited to unwrap this box of chocolates on a spring day with the girls, and the packaging did not disappoint - it's absolutely stunning, vibrant, authentic, and luxurious.
The holographic cover with a cucumber pattern and a realistic image of fruits and nuts is incredibly eye-catching. It conceals a large box of noble deep burgundy color, which is just a pleasure to hold in your hands...
Everything is thought out, literally, to the smallest detail. It's maintained in a single gilded style a la russe.
You can admire the packaging, but what I saw inside this beauty slightly disappointed me. I was expecting something entirely different...
I was really disappointed with the way the candies were packed - they just got dumped into the box with their wrappers on. I was expecting the usual presentation for a gift set, where the candies would be nestled in little recesses... But no, it was just a jumble. It was a bit of an unexpected sight...
The assortment includes a variety of candies, such as dried plum, dried apricot, dried date, dried fig, dried cherry, confectioner's glaze, roasted peanut, fruit filler, chocolate glaze, roasted almond, roasted hazelnut, pineapple candied, and glossy 'Quick Shine'. Each candy has its own unique flavor and texture, but I was a bit surprised to see palm oil in the ingredients list.
I deduct a point from the rating of these candies precisely for this reason. I'll forgive the presence of this oil in cheap sweets, but in such luxurious gift candies, it's unacceptable.
However, I must commend the taste of Kremlyna Assorti candies - they're extremely delicious! The assortment consists of two types of candies: extremely large ones with a chocolate body and a filling of crushed dried fruits, and smaller ones with a chocolate glaze.
I was especially fond of Pineapple and Date, as the most interesting and original. Cherry and Apricot - no surprise, but these charmed me with their originality.
The smaller candies are also delicious, with nice and whole nuts and a decent chocolate glaze. I highly recommend the Kremliin Assortment!
And as a gift - it's perfect, and for myself - it's absolutely wonderful!
Overall, I would give this gift set 4 out of 5 stars. While the packaging is stunning and the candies are delicious, the presentation falls short of my expectations. However, I would still recommend this gift set to anyone looking for a luxurious and delicious treat.
