As a parent, I know how crucial it is to shield my child's delicate skin from harsh winter conditions. Bitter winds and frost can be brutal, so I was excited to give Levrana's kids' skincare line a try. I'd recently discovered the brand and wanted to explore their offerings. First on my list was a cream for my little one's precious cheeks.
Quick rundown:

The "Chereda" cream is a reliable shield for your child's face in cold and windy weather. It protects against harsh external factors, moisturizes, and nourishes.
What does the packaging look like?
The cream comes in a white plastic tube with a cute and pleasant design. I do have one concern: it's a bit of a hassle to remove the label once it's gotten wet. Kids will likely love peeling it off, but it might not be the most practical solution.
The label has all the essential information for the consumer: how to use it, a brief product description, ingredients, and details about the manufacturer. I appreciate that this cosmetics brand is cruelty-free.
The cap is flip-top and screws on tightly, preventing it from unscrewing accidentally. There's also a foil membrane to protect the product from tampering. I'm glad to see this attention to detail.
Overall, aside from the label issue, I'm pleased with the packaging. It's standard and gets the job done.
What does the cream look like?
First of all, let's talk about the scent - it's got a lovely, rich aroma, but the standout note for me is the calendula. My friend actually said it smells like a lullaby, and I think that's a pretty accurate description. The fragrance is really pleasant.
The texture of the cream is neither too thick nor too runny, but it's definitely on the richer side, which is no surprise given the variety of oils in the formula. It applies smoothly to the skin, but it takes a while to absorb.
I was impressed to see that this brand is committed to natural, organic ingredients. And when I looked at the ingredients list, I was relieved to see that it's completely free of harsh chemicals:
Aqua (Natural spring water), Leen seed oil (Maslo lyniano), Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate (Plant-based emulsifier), Hydrogenated starch hydrolysate (Plant-based sorbitol), Silybum marianum seed oil (Maslo rastoropshi), Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil (Maslo oblepiki), Olea Europaea Fruit Oil (Maslo olivkovoe), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe sok), Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil (Maslo vinogradnoi kostochki), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Maslo shi), Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables (Plant-based co-emulsifier), Copernicia cerifera wax (Vosk karabuskii), Benzyl Alcohol (Benzilovyi spirt), Xanthan Gum (Ksantanovaia kamied), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Melaleuca alternifolia oil (Effirnoe maslo chaynogo dereva), Lactic Acid (Molochnaia kislot), Bidens tripartita extract (Ekstrakt cheredi), Juglans Regia Leaf Extract (Ekstrakt grechskogo orah), Hypericum perforatum L. extract (Ekstrakt zveroboya), Mentha piperita Extract (Ekstrakt myati), Achillea millefolium L. extract (Ekstrakt tsvilelistnika), Avena sativa L. extract (Ekstrakt ovsa), Macleya microcarpa (Maxim.) Fedde. Extract (Ekstrakt maklei), Cucumis sativus L. extract (Ekstrakt ogurtsa), Chamomilla Recutita Flower Oil (Effirnoe maslo romashki)
It's clear that this brand is committed to using only natural ingredients, and that's something I really appreciate. Even without reading the ingredient list, it's easy to see that this cream is packed with beneficial stuff.
How did the child's skin react?
While I personally loved this cream, the child's skin didn't respond as positively. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the full results, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's tried it on their little ones.
I applied the cream to my son's cheeks about 20 minutes before heading out, and in the chaos of getting him dressed, I didn't even notice that something was off. It was freezing outside, and at first, I thought the redness was just a normal reaction to the cold. But my son was being fussy and kept trying to rub his face, which made me suspicious. My husband insisted that the boy was just being dramatic and reacting to the cold, but my mom instincts told me otherwise. As we rushed home because my son started crying and rubbing his cheeks, I realized that the redness was accompanied by hives...
After giving him Suprastin, the allergy started to subside, and my son fell asleep. Unfortunately, that was the end of using this cream on my child.
My experience with the product and why I'd recommend it.
I have to admit, I was disappointed by my child's reaction to the cream. But at the same time, it's not entirely unexpected - kids' skin can be super sensitive to plant-based ingredients. It's a shame, really, because the cream itself is actually great. It's got a fantastic composition, a pleasant texture, and a generous size that's also economical due to its consistency.
Personally, I really liked it. If your child isn't allergic, this cream would be an amazing protector for their cheeks. Just remember to apply a small patch of cream to their skin before using it extensively and check for any adverse reactions.
