I'm sharing my experience with Lenta's online grocery delivery, and I have to say it's been a total game-changer for me. When I was living alone, these deliveries were a lifesaver - I'd order a bunch of stuff at once to stock up my fridge for the week, and it was super convenient: they'd bring it right to my doorstep, no need to lug heavy bags from the store.

I used Samokat, by the way. But when it came time to tally up how much I was spending on delivery each month, I was horrified. And I realized that Samokat delivery is actually really pricey - probably the most expensive of all.

Now that I'm married, my husband and I do our weekly grocery shopping at the Okoy hypermarket, and we spend around 5-6 thousand rubles on average, including discounts. We get fish, meat, seafood, you name it - we don't skimp on anything.

But recently, Tinkoff had a generous cashback wave on food delivery, so we jumped at the chance to save some money.

Lenta has its own loyalty card, which basically makes most products cheaper and way more affordable. I've accumulated a decent number of points, but I need to redeem them more often.

The app is super easy to use and super intuitive. To get delivery working, you just need to set up your address, and it instantly gives you a list of stores near you where you can make a purchase.

One thing that caught my eye is this game called Scavenger Frenzy, where you play mini-games and earn extra tokens. The grand prize is 10,000 points to put on your Lenta card.

Assortment and Interface

The assortment varies depending on the store you want to make a purchase from. Sometimes certain items are missing from a specific store, and you have to rebuild your entire cart from scratch in another store. For example, we have a specific type of wine that's only sold in one Lenta, but when we come offline to the store, it's nowhere to be found, and the app shows that there are 33 bottles of wine in stock. Where are they, then? Are they just sitting there unsorted?

But overall, the assortment is incredibly diverse and rich – Lenta is one of my favorite stores, and they pretty much have everything, and sometimes even a bit more.

I find it easier to search for a specific product in the search bar than to navigate through the categories.

Delivery and Payment

One thing I want to mention is that there are two different stores – HyperLenta and SuperLenta. SuperLenta stores are usually small shops in the courtyard of your house or located in small business centers, where the selection is smaller, and you might not find certain items, but delivery is fast - 20 minutes, although the minimum order amount is 2000 rubles.

HyperLenta is a large hypermarket where, in addition to products, you can also buy household items, clothing, car accessories, kitchenware, and so on. In short, everything is possible. It's more beneficial to make large orders here, as the selection is enormous, and the minimum order amount is relatively small - just 1000 rubles.

I think when you do a weekly grocery run, you'll end up spending more than 1000 rubles anyway, and they'll deliver your order right to your doorstep in just 40-50 minutes.

My Order

I ordered our usual product set, which we usually buy every week at Oke. As I mentioned earlier, we usually spend around 4-5 thousand rubles, but in Lenta, I didn't want to buy chilled salmon and meat randomly, so I preferred to choose myself. Therefore, the order amount turned out to be significantly lower - just 2335 rubles for 14 items, and during the assembly process, some changes were made - some products were not in stock.

Naturally, you can ask them to coordinate each replacement with you, but I didn't need that nonsense. I marked that they should simply replace the product with an analogous one if needed.

It's essential to understand that Lenta's delivery is not super-fast delivery. They don't always have the time you need. For example, I ordered around lunchtime, and the only available delivery time they offered me was in the evening, between 20-21.

Money is deducted only after the order is assembled, and they start assembling it only closer to your delivery time.

Each product category comes in its own separate package, so don't be surprised when the courier delivers a whole bunch of bags to your doorstep – milk is separate, bread is separate, cleaning supplies, of course, are separate – just in case they spill! Fruits are also in their own package.

I specifically mentioned in the order comments that I wanted fresh fruits and veggies, and I'm happy to report that they were indeed fresh, with up-to-date expiration dates for the rest of the products too.

The courier delivered on time, didn't call me nonstop, rang the doorbell, and handed me the packages. Plus, it was super convenient to track the order status through notifications.

Final Verdict

My first experience with online grocery delivery through Lenta was actually pretty positive! I won't say it's cheaper than Oke (some items are indeed cheaper, like yogurts), but the 750-ruble cashback from Tinkoff was a nice surprise. My order was 2335 rubles, so the cashback was a pretty decent chunk of change that went back onto my card.

Wide product selection, fresh fruits, reasonable expiration dates, attractive promo codes, a nice loyalty program, and honest delivery within the agreed-upon timeframe.
