Editor's Summary
I recently picked up the Lego City 60448 Red Sports Car from Guangzhou, and I'm blown away by its level of detail and fun design. The box looks just like the ones we have here, and the paper bags with instructions are a nice touch. But does it live up to the hype? Let's dive in and find out.
Specifications
I recently visited Guangzhou with my husband, and while we were there, he stumbled upon a Lego store. I kid you not, it was like fate.
My youngest got the Duplo set, and my older son chose the Lego City 60448 Red Sports Car.
The box looked just like the ones we have here, no differences at all. I was surprised to find paper bags with the details inside instead of the usual transparent ones, but it turns out they're the same thing we have here in Moscow.
On the back of the box, there's a sticker with Chinese characters - a nice touch.
Opening the box is a breeze - just push the semi-circle on the side, and voilà!
The instruction manual is a bit different from what I'm used to. It's got pictures of hands on the pages, showing exactly what to do and where to put the pieces.
It's super detailed and easy to follow, even for a 5-year-old. My son was able to understand the instructions right away.
The set comes with 109 pieces, and let me tell you, there are a lot of tiny ones. When my son was 4.4, he needed my help, but now he can handle it on his own.
The price today is around 1000 rubles on the Market, which is a great value for the quality. But be warned, without sales, you can expect to pay up to 2000.
The car itself is super detailed and colorful. The trunk opens, and inside, you can find all sorts of fun things like a water spray bottle, a car wash sponge, and even a mobile phone!
I was thrilled to find two extra water spray bottles in the set - what a bonus!
My son loves playing with this car, and the best part is that the pieces don't fall off, even during the most intense play sessions.
And the cherry on top? You can take it apart and rebuild it again and again - it's just as fun as playing with it!
I highly recommend the Lego City Red Sports Car to anyone looking for a fun and engaging toy that will keep their kids entertained for hours.
