Editor's Summary
I was skeptical about doing my own pedicures, but the Laranza SS-168 has been a total game-changer for me. The device is super easy to use, and the build quality is surprisingly solid. I've been using it for a week now, and I'm really impressed with the results. My toe nails are looking healthier than ever, and the battery life is longer than I expected. It's definitely worth every penny, especially considering the affordable price point. I've tried using nail files before, but they just don't cut it for me - this device is a much better investment. If you're like me and want to take control of your own nail care, I highly recommend giving the Laranza SS-168 a try. One thing I love about this device is that it's compact and easy to store, making it perfect for travel or for everyday use.
Specifications
Hello!
I'm pretty sure every girl wants to have well-groomed nails on her fingers and toes, but let's face it, not everyone has the time or budget to hit the nail salon. And honestly, with prices like that, it's hard to justify the cost. So, I've taken matters into my own hands and started doing my own nails. But this review isn't about my nail game or how much time I spend on it – it's about the tool that's been a lifesaver for me.
Since my toe nails can be a bit tricky, using a nail file just isn't cutting it. I mean, I could go to a salon, but I've been to a few different places and the results are always the same. If you're interested in how the pros do it, you can check out my previous post on pedicures.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and started looking for a nail care tool. That's when I stumbled upon the Laranza SS-168 on the Vb website. It was priced at 2500 rubles, which is super affordable compared to professional-grade tools. But let's be clear – I wasn't buying it for work, I was buying it for myself. If you plan on using it for work, be prepared to shell out at least 8000 rubles or more. The key is to make sure it has a power of 45000 RPM. If it's any less, it's not worth the investment.
So, if you're as excited as I am about taking your nail care to the next level, grab a snack, get comfy, and let's dive in.
I bought this manicure and pedicure device, the Laranza SS-168, a while back. I also picked up a lamp for drying gel polish at the same time, which was a great value for money, coming in at 1500 rubles in total (check it out here). Just in case you want to get your nails done with gel polish.The wireless device has a good amount of power. Most of these types of gadgets have 25,000 revolutions. I took a look, but a friend told me that they don't remove old gel polish very well.
There were also some freebies included with the device. One of them was a smart disk for your feet. I'm sure you've all heard of 'Smart Pedicure', but what they don't tell you is that you need to apply a special gel first. Not many people know this, which is why they say the disk doesn't work. To be honest, it doesn't work very well with wet feet. So, make sure to apply the gel before using the disk.
Unfortunately, my smart disk has already worn out.
I've replaced it with some others that were also included in the package.
I was also stoked to find a set of files included in the package.
I've seen some people swap them out for others, but for me, they're perfectly fine. I haven't seen a need to change them.
The number of attachments in the package is:
10 attachments;
Wolf-shaped drill bit for removing old nail polish (corn);
Smart disc for pedicure 20mm
There's also a cuticle oil included, which is super nice and absorbs well.
And they even threw in a nail buffer.
So, here's the full Laranza SS-168 package:

manicure device;
manicure drill bit set;
cuticle oil;
nail buffer for cleaning drill bits;
nail buffer for manicure;
smart disc for pedicure;
10 files for smart disc;
corn-shaped drill bit;
accessory storage pouch;
USB Type-C charging cable;
instruction manual in Russian
I've noticed that the pouch is a bit rough, so it does leave marks.
I haven't used the corn-shaped scraper, but apparently it's great for removing gel nail polish. I've been using other scrapers and they work just fine for me.
I have used this one before, but it's a bit bent - that's my fault, though. I was in a rush to pack for a trip and I stuffed the scraper in a bit awkwardly, which made the box difficult to close. That's the result you see here.
Yes, it's super portable! It's really lightweight, too.Product weight without packaging (g): 105g
Product weight with packaging (g): 335g
The device is really easy to use, stylish, and lightweight. I usually charge it and then use it.
Battery capacity: 2000mAh - charges in 8 hours. Can be used with or without a power source.
The battery life is great - it lasts me a long time.
After turning it on, you'll see the battery level and power. The '+' and '-' buttons adjust the power, while the other button is a simple on/off switch. Nothing too complicated.I didn't remove the protective film. To be honest, I'm not a fan of removing protective films in the first place. Even my washing machine still has the factory-applied film on it.
To put the brush in, you just need to rotate it.
It's easy to put on and clicks into place with a satisfying snap. Of course, it's always a good idea to read the instructions first - they're pretty clear about everything.
I appreciate that there's also a little insert included in the package.
I found out that Laranza is a Russian brand, but none of my friends have used it before.
I like that this device is suitable for heels too.
I've found that if you're not used to the power, it's better to start with something smaller.

The body material is aluminum and metal.
That's a huge plus.
I also appreciate the small instruction manual.
I think it's essential to have the manual in Russian as well.
Everything is numbered here. If you're still unsure about what each button does, the manual explains it in detail. It even has a diagram showing how to replace the FREZ.
Next, it shows you how to turn the device on. You just need to press the button for 2 seconds. There's also a direction indicator. F is forward, R is backward.
And finally, there are the technical specifications.
I've gotta say, the product description on the website, in the manual, and on the box all match up. It's a pretty straightforward device, and using it is just as easy as the instructions say. Even if you're a total newbie, you can still learn to give yourself a decent manicure and take care of your feet with this thing.
I'm no pro, but since I got this nail care device, my nails have been looking way better. If I see that a nail on my pinky is starting to grow back, I'll start using the device right away. Usually, that happens about every 1.5 weeks.
Honestly, I used to be self-conscious about my pinky toe. It always looked terrible if I didn't take care of it. If I didn't keep an eye on it, it would start to overgrow and get all scaly. It's a genetic thing, apparently - my mom has the same issue. But I'm just gonna take it as a blessing that all my toes are still intact, and thank my mom for that. Now it's just up to me to keep them looking their best.
This nail care device has been a lifesaver for getting rid of the dry skin around my nails and on my toes. It's saved me so much time, and there's no redness or irritation to speak of.
I used to use a nano-file (I wrote about it here), and while the results were pretty good, my finger would get all red and inflamed for a bit.
One thing I noticed about the smart disc is that it doesn't work too well without applying the gel first. The results are pretty meh if you don't do that.
But if your heel does get a bit softer, the sides can still be pretty dry.
I've got a special solution for dry heels and a nail file to deal with the horror.
But the smart disc for your toes and heels is perfect for people who already have relatively healthy skin.

I always read the questions from the seller before buying. The seller claims that the device helps to remove the thickness of old, hardened toenails, so you don't necessarily need to get a gel polish to fix the issue. You can just do a basic nail care routine. The price is around 1000 rubles, and the device pays for itself pretty quickly.
I recently did a hygienic manicure and it's been a game-changer. It perfectly removes the pesky cuticle and my nails look a lot healthier.
Cuticle is the thin layer of skin that has attached itself to the nail, essentially an extension of the skin.
Now they're clean, tidy, and look a lot healthier.
One thing that's still a bit tricky is removing the cuticle itself. I've only managed to do it without bleeding with the help of two nail technicians. When I do it myself, I have to be super gentle.
So when I apply a clear topcoat, it tends to seep into the cuticle area, making it look a bit uneven. But I'm not too fussed about it.
The most important thing is that all the dry, dead skin has been removed. Using a cuticle pusher can be a real challenge.
I've tried out gel nail polish, and it's honestly transformed my nail game - check out my review of the polish here. I loved the process of getting a manicure, but for some reason, my gel nail polish was coming off way too quickly. I'd put it on in the morning, and by the next morning, it would be gone on one of my nails. I had to completely remove the nail polish. But the removal process was super easy without a drill.
If you're in the market for a nail and pedi device, the Laranza SS-168 is a solid choice because:
high-quality build;stylish design;ease of use;good power;can be used both corded and cordless;great value for the price;comes with some nice extras like a drill and oil;portable, so you can take it on the go.MINUSES? Like, what's not to love? This thing is a lifesaver, especially for people with problem nails like mine. My nails tend to grow into the skin, but now I just take care of them myself. If you don't stay on top of it, your nails can get overgrown and look terrible. I used to have to get pedicures every week, but now I just use this device and I'm good to go.
This nail and pedi device would make a great gift for a friend or loved one, especially around 8th of March instead of flowers. I'd be stoked to get one!
This Laranza SS-168 nail and pedi machine is perfect for those who don't want to be salon-hopping all the time. It's always at your fingertips.
I've gotta say, I really enjoyed using it. Everything's super easy and straightforward - I was up and running in no time.
Thanks for reading my review - I hope it's been helpful!
