A Mixed Bag with Laneko Universal Capsules
Hello everyone.
I recently picked up the Laneko Universal capsules from Fix Price stores after a colleague recommended them.
I did some research online and found that other websites are selling the same product for way more money, with fancy labels like 'super-concentrate' and 'for washing any fabrics.' It's clear that some sellers are trying to scam people by slapping a fake label on the product to charge more.
I bought them at the Fix Price store for 179 rubles - a steal compared to what others are charging online.
The packaging is a transparent plastic bottle with a bright orange-blue sticker on the side. The sticker looks like the original label from the manufacturer, but it's in a language I don't understand.
On the label, I managed to decipher the weight (220 grams), the TU (technical specifications), the temperature ranges for washing and storage, and the manufacturer's surname.
From the pictures, I gathered that the capsules aren't meant for hand washing, and you shouldn't try to open them - that's useful to know.
There's a sticker with the product information in Russian, but the text is tiny - you'd need a magnifying glass to read it.
The lid is on top, and it's not a screw-on cap - you just need to remove the protective covering from the bottle.
On the side of the lid, there's a little clip that you need to remove - it's a clever design.
I was impressed by the packaging design - you can easily remove the protective cap and reuse the container for storing laundry detergent, which I buy in bulk.
The cap is easy to open and close, and I love that I can reuse the container.
Inside, you get 22 bright blue capsules - they're small, weighing around 10 grams each.
The smell of the capsules isn't exactly pleasant, but it's not overpowering - it's similar to the scent of cheap chemical laundry detergent.
I used one capsule to wash a load of dark clothes - my work pants, aprons, and socks - at 60°C with an intense wash cycle. The clothes came out clean, and the capsule's liquid was completely rinsed out, leaving no residue. However, when I used another capsule to wash a load of white work shirts, the results were disappointing. The shirts didn't come out completely clean, and they weren't their usual bright white after washing.
I think these capsules are suitable for lightly soiled clothes, but they're not effective for heavily soiled items or white clothes.
I've been using the Laneko Universal capsules for a while now, and I've noticed that they work well for certain types of laundry. However, I've also encountered some issues with heavily soiled clothes and white items.
One thing I like about these capsules is how easy they are to use. Simply remove the protective cap, add the capsule to your washing machine, and you're good to go. The packaging is also convenient, as you can easily remove the cap and reuse the container for storing laundry detergent.
That being said, I do have some concerns about the effectiveness of these capsules. As I mentioned earlier, they didn't work well for heavily soiled clothes or white items. This is a bit of a letdown, as I was hoping for a more versatile product.
I'd say that the Laneko Universal capsules are a decent option for lightly soiled clothes. However, they may not be the best choice for heavily soiled items or white clothes.
