Hello there!
I'm getting into the holiday spirit, and while I'm still waiting for my order to arrive, I've started stocking up on some festive treats. I stumbled upon Lambertz Dominos prunes at the Pererestok store, and I've heard they're a must-have for any holiday table. I wanted to try them out and get into the winter mood.

The packaging for Lambertz Dominos comes in different formats, and I was lucky enough to find this really nice black box. It's not yet in the holiday format, but it would still make a great gift.
Package volume: 175g
Lovely prunes, sealed in a box like a bag of candies, with a cardboard box and protective wrapping.
Price: 569 rubles
Currently on sale for: 399 rubles
I bought them at Pererestok for 459 rubles.
I've been buying these prunes for a long time, but in a different format, and I didn't really enjoy the taste. They seemed too sweet and bitter to me. But when I saw these, I had high expectations for an incredible taste, and I thought they'd be marzipan-truffle-like, with a hint of cake and interesting accents of marzipan and persipan.
They look great, like little candy pieces.
Taste?
According to the idea, there are three types of chocolate: milk, white, and dark.
But the filling is the same in all of them, and the only difference is the top layer of chocolate.
I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and delicate these gingerbread cookies are. The layer of chocolate isn't overpowering, and the marzipan is spot on - it's made from apricot and peach pits, not almonds, and it's really natural and not too sticky.
The marzipan is apple-flavored and really natural, not too sticky or artificial.
Persepan (that's what they call marzipan made from apricot and peach pits) isn't my favorite - it's got a weird, bitter flavor and a texture that's similar to marzipan, but not as smooth.
Overall, the flavor is sweet, but it's a bit too much for me. I was expecting a more balanced taste, but these gingerbread cookies are a bit too rich and overpowering.
The ones in white chocolate are my favorite - they're the softest and not too sweet.
The milk chocolate is way too sweet, but it's still better than the bitter one.
The bitter chocolate is a total disappointment - it's got a weird, bitter flavor that clashes with the sweetness of the gingerbread, and it's just not that great, even for someone who loves bitter chocolate like me.
I'd be happy to have these gingerbread cookies with a cup of coffee, but I didn't get much enjoyment out of them.
I didn't get any nostalgic feelings from eating them, and I wouldn't consider them a must-have for New Year's Eve.
Lambertz Dominos are way too sweet and overpowering, and they get old really fast.
I'd say it's an okay gift, but for the price, I'd choose Nutella or Raffaello's box instead - that's the kind of treat that really hits the spot. Speaking of which, Ferrero or Roshen have way more New Year's vibes for me.
I saw this box on Ozon for a price that was just out of this world - I think it's way overpriced.
It's fine, but there are loads of other delicious desserts to choose from. I wouldn't buy it again.
Wishing you a sweet night and until next time!
