Hello there!
I've been dealing with dry, chapped lips for a while now, and I've tried various lip balms to alleviate the issue. The problem is, the more I moisturize, the faster my lips dry out, and I end up reapplying lip balm all day. I'm hoping this is just a temporary thing, but until then, I'm stocking up on lip balms that can help keep my lips hydrated and smooth for a bit.
That's why I picked up La+Kri Sensitive Lip Balm, which is designed for dry and sensitive skin. I bought it on Wildberries (article 24716505).

MANUFACTURER'S DESCRIPTION:
This gentle, non-greasy lip balm from La+Kri is perfect for teaching kids to take care of their delicate skin from a young age. The natural ingredients in this formula provide quick relief for dry, cracked lips, and help to prevent dryness and discomfort. It protects your lips from wind, cold, and sun damage all year round. The active ingredients - licorice extract and bisabolol - have anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, while pantothenol, aloe extract, and allantoin help to smooth and regenerate the skin. Shea butter, castor oil, and vitamin E moisturize and smooth out fine lines, creating a breathable barrier that prevents moisture loss. The subtle scent of rosewood oil and vanilla extract makes it a pleasure to use. The lightweight texture won't leave your lips feeling greasy. This hygienic, transparent balm is safe to use daily, both during the day and at night.
I've got to be honest, this product isn't suitable for anyone with sensitive skin, especially if you're allergic to certain components. As someone who prioritizes gentle skincare for my little one, I'm all about keeping their skin healthy. This hypoallergenic balm is free from harsh chemicals like artificial fragrances, dyes, and parabens.
This fragrance-free, colorless balm isn't just for babies, by the way – it's also great for adults, teenagers, and kids. And with clinical trials backing its effectiveness and safety, you can trust it's good for your skin.
Now, I know this balm is marketed as a kids' product, but it's suitable even for tiny tots. My little one is just over a year old, and they get dry, chapped lips from time to time. I've been using vitamin E to soothe them, but I'm hesitant to try this balm – more on that below. The balm comes in a cardboard box with all the necessary info about the product.
INGREDIENTS:liquid paraffin, petroleum jelly, beeswax, sweet almond oil, paraffin / carnauba wax / montan glycol / Shorea robusta resin, castor oil, PEG-8 avocado oil, shea butter, dimethicone, panthenol 75%, aloe vera extract, licorice extract, rosewood oil, vanilla extract, bisabolol, allantoin, vitamin E, vitamin A.
What I love about this balm is that it's free from artificial fragrances and dyes, so it's completely odorless (except for a hint of petroleum jelly). The balm comes in a soft plastic tube that's easy to squeeze out the right amount.
I love the nozzle on this lip balm - it's angled in a way that makes it super easy to apply. Plus, since the balm itself is clear, neither the dispenser nor the threads get all gunked up.
The tube itself is pretty standard - it's got all the same info as the packaging, so there's no need to keep the box around. One thing I do wish they'd included is the ingredients list, but I guess that's something you're more likely to check before buying than while you're using it.
The balm itself is pretty thick, but not so thick that it's hard to get out of the tube. It glides on smoothly and feels really nice on my lips. I've been using it for a week now, and I'm impressed with the build quality - the nozzle feels solid and the whole thing feels like it's built to last.
My Lips: they're pretty low-maintenance, but lately they've been getting super dry. I try not to let them get too bad, or it's a real pain to deal with the aftermath. So, I always have something on hand to keep them moisturized - this balm, lip balm, or even just a regular old face cream (yeah, I know, it's not ideal, but desperate times call for desperate measures!)I've only been using this balm for a week or so, and I haven't put it to the test in harsh weather conditions (sun, wind, etc.). But so far, so good - it looks and feels great on my lips!
When I apply it, the balm gives my lips a nice, subtle shine without feeling too greasy or sticky.
I applied it without any issues. Despite my concerns that the balm would feel heavy and greasy like petroleum jelly, it doesn't feel like it's even on my lips. It's like it's made with a water-based formula - it's so lightweight and barely noticeable.
My hair doesn't stick to it.
The balm moisturizes and soothes my lips, getting rid of the feeling of tightness and dryness. The effect lasts for about an hour and a half to two hours. And then... it just disappears. Like I never applied anything.
I don't know how to explain this phenomenon. The balm somehow absorbs, but for some reason, my lips don't become softer afterwards. They're just as dry and need moisturizing.
So, the manufacturer's promise that the product creates a barrier that prevents moisture loss didn't work for me.
When I have the balm on my lips, everything feels good and comfortable. But as soon as the balm is absorbed, I go back to my original state. There's no prolonged effect.
Another thing that caught my attention and made me think twice about using this product on my kid is the unpleasant petroleum jelly taste in my mouth. I can tolerate it as an adult, but I wouldn't recommend it for kids.Overall, the balm is decent. For maintaining normal lip health and saving them from dryness and windburn in the moment - it's okay. But if my lips need something more serious in terms of care, I found this balm to be a bit lacking.
I'll continue using it at home. Or I'll take it with me when I've got my lip care under control.
I was torn between a three and a four-star rating, but I'll go with three. The product is marketed as kid-friendly, and I wouldn't recommend it for children.
