I've struggled with dry, chapped lips for years, but La-Cri's Lip Balm has been a total game-changer. It's specifically designed to tackle very dry lip skin, and it really delivers. The formula is super moisturizing, and it helps to soothe and calm dry, irritated lips. With its rich and nourishing ingredients, this lip balm is perfect for anyone dealing with dry, cracked lips. I've tried a bunch of different lip balms in the past, but La-Cri's Restoring Lip Balm is hands-down the best value for money. Whether you're looking for a long-lasting solution or just a quick fix, this lip balm is worth trying.

  • The first ingredient in the list is paraffin, which might be a concern for some users.
  • There's no protection against tampering, which is a bit of a letdown.
  • The packaging could be a bit more eco-friendly.
  • It's not the most durable lip balm I've ever used.

Hello everyone!

Winter's here, and without lip balm, you're basically stuck inside. Otherwise, you've got a good chance of coming home to find your lips chapped or cracked. For that, I've got a few go-to products. The thicker, more petroleum-jelly-like ones I leave for nighttime use (as a mask), and the lighter ones are perfect for a quick touch-up before heading out.

By complete coincidence, when my lips got super dry, I stumbled into my local Magnit Cosmetics store and picked up La-Cri Lip Balm - a restoring balm for super dry lip skin.

I'm excited to share my thoughts on it in this review.

OVERVIEW

Weight: 12 grams

Recommended for children aged 3 and above

Price: 200 rubles and some change

Place of purchase: Magnit Cosmetics

Best before: 3 years from date of manufacture

Manufacturer: AO "VERTIX", Russia, St. Petersburg

La-Cri Lip Balm comes in a compact cardboard box with all the product info. Some details are duplicated on the plastic tube itself.

The tube itself is compact, making it easy to stash even in the smallest makeup bag or clutch.xa0

The best before date is printed on the top seam of the tube.

The design of this product is super convenient - it's a collapsible tube with a soft applicator tip and a sloping dispenser that's easy to use.

When you apply it to your lips, you don't feel any discomfort. The balm comes out in thin, manageable strips.

The dispenser is topped with a plastic screw-on cap. xa0

📌MANUFACTURER'S DESCRIPTION

La-Cri Balm for extremely dry lip skin is a specially designed product for maximum moisturization and skin restoration.

The balm has an extremely soft texture that glides on easily and absorbs quickly, leaving your lips feeling smooth and soft.

The balm's rich formula includes natural ingredients such as cocoa butter, shea butter, antioxidants, vitamins, and other beneficial components that nourish, moisturize, and strengthen lip skin.

It's perfect for daily use and helps tackle issues like dryness, flakiness, and irritation.

Every mom knows that dry, cracked lips in kids can lead to painful inflammation, so it's essential to restore and protect their delicate lip skin as soon as possible.

La-Cri Balm restores dry and extremely dry lip skin in adults and kids aged 3 and above, leaving you with a full, non-greasy sense of moisture.

The effectiveness and safety of La-Cri Balm have been confirmed by clinical studies.

Active ingredients: licorice extract, alpha-bisabolol, beeswax, shea butter, castor seed oil, almond oil, vitamins A and E

I've gotta say, this lip balm really delivers when it comes to dry, chapped lips. The natural ingredients work fast to soothe and deeply moisturize the skin. Beeswax helps to repair and protect very dry skin, while licorice root extract and organic alpha-bisabolol gently care for and calm sensitive lip skin.

Pantothenol and menthol have a regenerating effect, and the blend of oils smooths and nourishes.

LA-KRI is a reliable helper for a caring mom!

I got the version of LA-KRI lip balm that's specifically designed for very dry skin and safe to use on kids from 3 years old. My daughter's lips get super dry in the winter, so I buy her a separate tube for hygiene reasons.xa0

xa0LIP BALM FEATURES

Scent: I don't really notice the scent, but if I sniff it up close, I can pick up on some sweet notes.

Texture: It's a thick, greasy consistency, similar to Vaseline. There's definitely a slippery feel when applying it to my lips.

Finish: My lips look shiny, and the more I apply, the more intense the greasy finish gets.

Moisturizing power: LA-KRI lip balm creates a protective barrier on the surface of my lips, shielding them from wind and other harsh factors. So, in terms of absorption, it absorbs minimally.Usage: It's quite economical, given its rich texture. I only apply it at night or when my lips are in a bad state – cracked, dry, or flaking.

I've always been a fan of using petroleum jelly-based balms for nighttime lip care, like the Kiehl's one that's basically just vaseline for a hefty price. The Verteks balm is great as both a nighttime restorative mask for my lips and as a go-to lip balm for when I'm heading out. I just apply a thicker layer at night and call it a day.

If you take a look at the ingredients in this balm, it's no wonder it works so well to restore even the most problematic lips.

INGREDIENTS

Paraffin liquid, petroleum jelly, beeswax, almond oil, paraffin / carnauba wax / montan glycol / Shorea robusta resin, panthenol, castor oil, PEG-8 avocado oil, cetyl palmitate, glyceryl stearate, shea butter, natural food-grade flavor, dimethicone, licorice extract, allantoin, bisabolol, menthol, vitamin E, vitamin A.

The ingredient list isn't perfect, but the product works, and I haven't experienced any negative reactions like acne or irritation. My kid and I both use it without issues.

📌APPLICATION PROCESS

For me, there are two ways to use the La-Cri balm that matter.

I apply it directly to the center of my lips, then spread it out with the applicator or the tip of my finger.

Before bed: I apply it thickly to clean, dry lip skin. In reality, I use it as an express skin restoration mask for my lips when the skin is flaking or cracked. It needs nourishment and soothing.

Before heading out I apply it thinly so my lips don't look too shiny from the vaseline. It helps prevent skin irritation and dryness from cold weather.

I've also tried applying the balm to damaged cuticles to soften them, as I don't cut mine with scissors. It's another great way to use it – it soothes and restores the skin if the cuticles get dry and brittle.

📌Effect

I'm really impressed that my kids, especially my daughter, love this lip balm as much as I do. It's a lifesaver for dry, chapped lips. With it, they look smoother and more moisturized.

It softens rough skin, gets rid of flakiness, and helps heal cracks and fine lines.

I use it to keep my lips moisturized and nourished, especially during the winter months. My husband even uses it, and he loves the subtle scent. It's definitely a unisex product.

It doesn't clog pores around the mouth, even with liquid paraffin and petroleum jelly in the ingredients. None of us have experienced any irritation.

When I apply it before heading out, it doesn't bleed or spread beyond the lip line, even with its rich, oily texture.

📌Verdict

The La-Cri Lip Reviving Balm for super dry lips really won me over with its properties, and the downsides are pretty minor. What's key is that it saves my lips from getting chapped and helps quickly get rid of flakiness, dryness, and even soothes dry lips with cracks and cuts. I'm giving it a 5-star rating, and so far, the balm has only left me impressed with its effects.
