I'm sharing my thoughts on L'Etoile stores, specifically the app, my online orders, and customer support. Today, I'll focus on the app itself, my orders, and some of the glitches I've encountered.
Last year's bonus points deal was a great way to save money and get amazing deals. I used my points to buy perfume and gifts for New Year's.
Navigation and interface.
The app's interface is pretty standard, but the navigation can be a bit wonky at times. The search function can be finicky, and you need to be specific with your search terms to get the desired results. This is my least favorite part of the app.
As for the selection, it's decent, but I'm not a huge fan of skincare products, so I didn't order any of those. I prefer to buy those kinds of things in-store, where I can get face masks and other extras.
I'm all about scoring discounts on Dolce Milk products - the shower gel, liquid soap, and all that jazz. The prices on Dolce Milk right now are amazing. My husband loves the men's line because it's got some really great scents. I'm a fan of fruity fragrances that are just on the edge of being edible.
I'm a perfume junkie, if I'm being honest. That's what really gets my attention. First things first, I compare the selection and prices, and I keep an eye out for new releases.
I've noticed that there are often promo codes available for specific products, which makes the purchase even more worthwhile. You can also use those codes to earn rewards, so it's a win-win.
To make the deal even sweeter, you can split the payment using Yandex Split and get an extra 5% off. It's a nice touch. It's great to know that you can save even more, aside from using promo codes and earning rewards.
When it comes to shipping and payment, I have no complaints whatsoever. There are plenty of payment options available, and the delivery and pickup options are also top-notch. I prefer picking up my orders from post offices, as it's usually more convenient. I only picked up from a physical store once, when I was close by and needed a specific product.
Everything arrives in perfect condition, and the delivery times are always met. I've never had any issues with my orders. I rarely get freebies or samples, but that's okay.
I'm a big fan of Yandex Split, as it gives me an extra discount. I usually pay half the amount upfront and then split the rest. It's not a requirement, but it's definitely a nice perk.
Glitches, yeah, they're not uncommon for an app. I mean, it's not as clunky as RG, where there are a ton of issues. Here, they do offer discounts, but sometimes I have to reload the checkout page multiple times to get all the discounts to apply.
It's also weird that it just crashes sometimes. And, weirdly, RG does that too sometimes.
Search can also show that an item is out of stock, but when you refresh the page, it's in your cart.
And don't even get me started on promo bonuses. I swear, the price can change three times in three minutes while I'm checking out. It's frustrating, so I just turn off the points deduction, enter my promo code, and then apply the points.
About those bonuses and discounts.
Just the other day, the store 'splurged' and gave us 50,000 points. It would've been great, but the thing is, it doesn't work on all brands. Some brands get a 50% discount, while others get barely anything.
I looked at the brands that do work, but I was really interested in TF because I wanted to get another bottle for my collection.
I've got my eyes on two options that come with a discount code 'ПЯТНИЦА' and rewards points. The Narciso option only has rewards points, but I'm not sure if I should go for it yet. The reviews for Narciso are impressive, especially since it's a new product.
There are plenty of brands that are exclusive to this network, like Antonio Maretti. I remember they were super hyped up a while back. Even with bonuses, these perfumes are now priced at 5000 rubles, whereas I bought them in the spring for around 2900 rubles with bonuses. Not exactly a huge saving.
A few weeks ago, we got 5000 rewards points for perfumes, and then another 2 and 3 thousand for makeup and skincare products.
That's when I grabbed this beauty - Tom Ford Velvet Orchid in 50ml for 8940 rubles.
I spent ages deciding between the TF and the Noir Extreme - I was even tempted to go for the legendary Orchids. But I've got my eye on the Orchids for now, and I'll pick up the Noir Extreme in December when the bonus scheme starts paying out properly. Fingers crossed they'll be discounted then!
Apart from these 50K points that only seem to work some of the time. At the moment, 50,000 points aren't worth much. Some of the fragrances have a decent discount, but they're not really my thing.
So what did I end up ordering on this 'generous sale' with all the bonus points? I'm still waiting for my proper bonus points from buying the Orchid, to be honest.
I actually ordered the NR Vetiver Musk for my husband, since I'm giving it to him. The final price came out to be a steal at 2328 rubles for 50ml, which is twice as cheap as it is elsewhere. I'll update this review when it arrives.
There's also a discount on Chanel right now, but I'm a bit biased towards the brand, to be honest. I know some people love it, but for me, it's not really my thing. The prices are great, though, and if you've been eyeing it, now's the time to grab it.
I've even seen some people on Instagram taking advantage of the prices, which are around 8-9K for a decent bottle. That being said, I've read some reviews that mention the selection isn't always the best, so be sure to check before making a purchase.
What else am I eyeing? Since I've got all these awesome bonuses, I'll keep an eye out for new releases. I've already stocked up on most of my gift shopping, so I don't need anything else.
I'll just keep an eye out for interesting products or new arrivals. I've been thinking about trying out Dolce Milk, since I love body washes. But for now, nothing really catches my eye, and the bonuses are pretty random, with some products offering 50% off and others just a few kopeks.
Breaking down past orders. Most of my previous orders have been for perfumes. I'm more of a makeup and offline skincare kind of person, so I tend to buy those in-store. But when it comes to perfumes, I like to test them out first, so I'm not always buying blind.
I've got no complaints about the packaging or shipping. Everything arrives quickly in a box.
The perfume came with a protective bubble wrap, which was a nice touch. I've had issues with Riv Gosh in the past where they just slap the perfume in a box without any protection. That's just lazy.
It's been a while since I've made a lot of orders, since I'm pretty picky about sales and only buy when it's really worth it, after checking everywhere.
One of the highlights was Akro Bake. The scent of lemon cake and bath was incredible. I bought it for 4300 rubles, which wasn't the cheapest option, but I was satisfied as a happy elephant. I almost grabbed a bigger size at the discounted price.
Next up were two NR fragrances. I'd been eyeing these cubes for ages and didn't regret the purchase. I'd already written reviews about them - Poudre and Ambree. Each cost 3244 rubles.
I wouldn't say I'm a brand loyalist, but I do have a few of their fragrances in my collection, and one of them is a favorite - Rouge.
I also picked up two unique Korean perfumes from the brand Atelier Faye. They were really interesting and unlike anything I'd seen before. They cost 1561 rubles each. I finished both scents to the last drop.
I've also picked up some Korean scented hand creams as gifts for my colleagues. The fragrances are insane and super rich. When they apply them, you can really smell the scent in the room, and from what they've said, the texture is lovely and they do a great job moisturizing.
Next up - 3 sets of Pepe Jeans for 805 rubles! Yeah, it's basically a super fruity shower gel set with a moisturizer and lotion at a super price.
I kept one for myself and sent the rest as gifts. I'm really enjoying using it in the summer. The scents remind me of Escada.
As for the one that arrived, it's Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford. I was deciding whether to get it or not, but the price and the 50ml size won me over. The scent is complex and unusual for me. I'm still figuring out how long it lasts - my friends can smell it, but after four hours, I've lost it.
I'm still waiting to earn enough points to buy Noir Extreme again - I'm totally obsessed with it. But at the time, I was all about the orchid scent. To be honest, I used to hate the fragrances and it took me ages to find one that suited me, but now I'm in the mood to share. Plus, it's the perfect season for it.
So, what's the verdict?
I've got more positive vibes. Yeah, they don't have the same range and variety as ZYA, where you can find loads of new and trendy brands. But Letu does have its perks - they often give us points, promo codes with decent discounts, and Split payments that give us an extra discount. Plus, they offer birthday bonuses, sign-up rewards, and all that jazz.
The app itself does freeze a bit sometimes, and I have to double-check the promo codes and points I've earned. And, to be honest, it's not always a win with the points and promo codes. But, more often than not, I can snag something amazing at an incredible price. And for that, I'm truly grateful.
Now, about the latest round of goodies... I wish they had more categories, even if it means a slightly lower discount percentage. I'm keeping an eye on my order and putting my future purchases on hold.
Thanks so much for reading my review! I'm Svetlana, and you can find me on TTY)
