Hello everyone!
I've always thought about my skin in different ways. Some people might imagine it as a juicy, ripe fruit, while others might picture it as sandpaper - yeah, it's happened to me too! But I've also thought of it as a delicate rose petal, fresh from the morning dew, radiating beauty and purity.
Whatever your association, we all want to look our best, but it's not just about washing our face. To achieve that, we need a whole arsenal of skincare products.
One of the essential tools in my collection is face masks. I've got five masks that I use depending on what my skin needs - and yes, I do use multiple face masks - who doesn't love a good face mask?!
My latest find, the L•A•F rose clay face mask with rose essential oil, has been a game-changer. The ingredient list is actually more extensive, but for some reason, only these two ingredients are mentioned in the name: rose clay and rose essential oil.

Let's get straight to the point: I was completely new to the Mirrolla brand before I tried their face mask, despite the fact that they produce a pretty large range of skincare products.
Where to buy?
I bought this face mask at the Magnit Cosmetics store. I couldn't find it in other stores or on marketplaces.

The face mask is very reasonably priced: it costs just 49 rubles. That's why I decided to take the risk and try it out.
Volume
The 75-milliliter tube contains the face mask.
Expiration date
The face mask is good for use within 36 months from the date of manufacture, which is printed on the packaging. After opening, the product expires in 12 months.

If you press the mask onto the lid, you'll notice the consistency is pretty thick.
]]> Consistency of the productThe texture is dense - it's basically just clay with additives. It applies well to the skin, spreading evenly. I'd compare its texture to soft, pliable plasticine or thick cake frosting.
The color of the face mask is light: a delicate pink hue, like a real rose petal.

Scent
Despite all the various extracts, the dominant scent is rose tea. It's strong enough to be noticeable, but not overpowering or suffocating. When the mask is on my face, it creates a relaxing and comforting atmosphere.

2) What did I hope to get out of using a face mask?
xa0
Since the formula includes clay, I was expecting some improvement in skin tone and a reduction in greasiness. I thought that was about it, but I was pleasantly surprised...

3) What does the manufacturer claim?
xa0
The face mask, based on the unique properties of three types of clay - white (kaolin), rose, and bentonite - cleans pores of impurities, has a detox effect, prevents the appearance of irritations and blackheads, and softens the skin. The natural essential oil blend of rose tea, muscat thyme, and extracts of Baikal skullcap, grape seed, and ginseng helps to improve skin tone.
Oh, so many promises...
4) The face mask application process.
First, I applied the mask to a special silicone applicator – I always use one because it's super convenient, and it keeps bacteria from getting into the product. Applying the maskNext, I started applying the mask to my face. I've got to say, its texture is amazing – the mask doesn't run, it settles in tightly and stays put on my skin. Applying the maskI made sure to cover my whole face. Applying the maskSurprisingly, the area around my mouth and eyes remained untouched by the product! Applying the maskI left it on for 11 minutes and then rinsed it off. My skin after cleansingMy skin after cleansing
What it does
I have to admit, when I first tried this face mask, I was a bit disappointed. It stung my skin, and I wanted to wash it off right away. The thing is, it's a clay-based product, and if you've ever worked with clay, you know it can be a real pain to rinse off.
But despite the initial hassle, I decided to give it another shot. And after the third application, I finally started to see the benefits. It actually does what it claims to do – it leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking great.
Now, let me break down what I liked about it and what didn't quite hit the mark.
The scent is lovely. It's really like the aroma of rose tea: delicate and elegant, just like the thorny queen of all flowers. A blend with a lot of beneficial ingredients. This mask includes various extracts, a few essential oils, and a whopping three types of clay. Easy to apply. Thanks to its dense texture, the mask is a breeze to apply to your face, evenly distributing itself across your skin without any mess. Cleansing the skin. Yes, your skin looks way cleaner and brighter than after a regular wash with soap or gel. It's like your skin starts breathing again. Brightening the skin. Your face starts radiating from within, pores get cleared out, and you get this inner glow that reflects beautifully on your skin. Helps with blackheads. After using this face mask, all my blackheads came to the surface - like they were all 'lined up and ready to go', and all I had to do was just scrape them off with a metal tool. Boosts skin tone. Your skin becomes more elastic, taut, and firm. Great value for money. Not much to say here.xa0

Dries out the skin on my face. But I've gotta say, any clay mask does that. That's why the manufacturer advises using this mask on normal and oily skin types. So, just apply a face cream after the mask (I always do that, even with nourishing masks). Tugs at the skin. That's more of a minor drawback, really, since essential oils tend to do that. I didn't notice any irritation after the recommended application time, though.xa0

🦊 My Verdict 🦊
xa0
I'm really impressed with the L•A•F face mask with rose clay and rose essential oil – it's an excellent budget-friendly option for anyone with normal, oily, or combination skin, or for those who have enlarged pores and blackheads.
This face mask has a lovely aroma and a thick, easy-to-apply texture that tightens the skin as it dries, leaving it looking brighter and more radiant.
The real game-changer for me is how this mask brightens and clarifies my skin, leaving it looking radiant. Pores become visibly clean in just 10-15 minutes! Blackheads get pulled closer to the surface, making them a breeze to remove with a pair of tweezers.
I highly recommend this product - it works a treat, as proven by the photos in this review.
To avoid any irritation or allergic reactions, be sure to test the mask on your elbow crease before applying it to your face!
