Editor's Summary

I gotta say, Kuromoney's 2024 payout issues have left a sour taste in my mouth. What was once a promising platform for freelancers has turned into a total nightmare. With payments stopped and no clear solution in sight, I'm left wondering if it's even worth the hassle. In this review, I'll break down the pros and cons of using Kuromoney, and why I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Update: Fast forward to 2024, specifically April, and all hell broke loose when payments stopped working. To make matters worse, the admin team announced that from then on, payouts would only be made in USDT, aka cryptocurrency. According to the authors' responses, there are no plans to fix the issue, and the so-called 'technical work' is just a cop-out to avoid public backlash. You guys do your thing, and we'll just collect the money from the invested funds of our clients' projects, while you're left with nothing but a pat on the back.

We're not exactly a crypto-savvy bunch, and most of us don't even understand the basics. So, is it really worth the hassle for such small sums? With the USDT currency on the exchange, there's not much to do, and you won't even make a decent amount of money for the cheap tasks.

This is exactly why I wouldn't recommend joining this exchange, especially given the reasons I mentioned above: you'll never get paid, and you'll waste your time.

---

Now, let's get to the review I wrote back in 2022:

***

I've heard of platforms that pay for reposts, likes, and subscriptions with comments, but I've never actually worked with one. I've been aware of this type of platform for a while, and I even tried it out once, but the rates were laughable – 10 kopecks for a subscription? Who needs that?

I was invited to join the Kuecomment exchange way back in 2015, mainly because of their referral program, which allows you to earn money from users you've brought in, who complete tasks on the platform.

However, to access the more lucrative tasks, you need to pass an exam – either in Russian, English, or Ukrainian. If you pass all three, you'll have access to all the sections. The problem was, I just couldn't pass the exam (I tried multiple times from different accounts, but I always failed). The first part was a breeze – just a couple of grammar and punctuation tests. The second part, however, was a mini-essay or review, which was much tougher.

Let's be real, writing essays has never been my thing. I've always struggled with it, and that's why the essay prompts on this platform seemed especially daunting. You'll get three different topics to choose from, and you'll have to write a short essay on one of them without any mistakes. It's 600 characters, no less.

Last time, I got lucky and landed on a topic that was actually something I could write about.

First, I spent some time liking, sharing, and following posts, and then I checked the exam results 10 days later. I was thrilled to find out I got a 1-star rating as an author and was allowed to move on to other tasks.

There's a filter for projects:

You can add them to your favorites, blacklist, or even block clients.

And, of course, you can post tasks as a client, but I tried it once and it got rejected. To make matters worse, I got banned from the client section forever without any explanation.

So, on the next levels, there are plenty of tasks, but they're all pretty much the same: write a review about something you've never used, seen, or heard of.

It's just blatant dishonesty.

For example, there are tasks that ask you to leave a positive review about doctors, builders, suppliers, sellers on Avito, workers, and repairmen.

At first, I thought I'd just write a good review for a real handyman to boost their rating, but then I found a review that made me question everything: 'I called the number, but the handyman doesn't exist. I have no idea what kind of services they offer.'

So, the product, seller, or handyman with fake reviews might be a complete scam or just a waste of time. People are trusting reviews and handing over their money, only to be ignored or scammed.

I made around 1,000 rubles on the site in a month, and to be honest, I'm done with it. Not just because of the moral implications, but also because of the endless streams of lies and ridiculous stories I had to write. I'm talking about praising some fortune teller who charges 20,000 rubles for a session, claiming she's helped people find love; writing about how microloans helped people; or promoting some marathon organized by Blirovskaya and hyping up the Synergy University, which I never even attended.

Some clients are just so clueless that they don't even understand the basic rules of posting on different sites and expect the impossible. You can take on projects or decline them, it's up to you.

In essence, the site is for people who love to lie and are willing to risk their accounts.

I had a weird experience with Avito, where a furniture company asked me to post a pre-written comment, and then Avito itself told me that the reviews were fake and that I might lose my account for it. It's strange that a big factory would resort to such tactics and not even stop after the site openly banned users for rating manipulation.

Overall, my opinion is mixed. On the one hand, if you're willing to write whatever it takes and follow all the rules, you can make around 1,000 rubles a day, which is real. On the other hand, there's a risk involved, and I don't want to write false reviews about non-existent services or operations performed by doctors. It's not that simple, and you can't even complete tasks from the same accounts; you need to create new ones with different ratings, like on Cityline, Yandex Maps, Google Maps, 2GIS, Yandex Market, and medical sites.

I also had to spam social media, which I did using a separate old page that I added friends to just to increase the number. In general, all my tasks were approved, but they're checked for a few days, and unverified ones are approved automatically. I guess I got lucky.

However, I don't plan on going back there anytime soon. If you're an experienced person who can talk about a lot of things at once, whether it's home repair or roof renovation, tools, or services from contractors, you might be able to try your hand at it. But the tasks are pretty specific – you'll have to write a review about some new product, like an electric grill, or record a video where you claim to have bought a car from a specific company in a showroom. It's not for everyone.

They don't need generic reviews or responses; they need in-depth and detailed ones with a lot of specifics.

The minimum payout is 100 rubles, and it's really fast – I got my money within a minute or an hour.

That's a huge plus, as some people say you can make some real money here, but at what cost?

I used to take all product reviews at face value, thinking, 'Who needs to write fake reviews for a household broom or a scarf?' But no, it's a thing. Millions of tasks to boost ratings for Wildberries, Ozon, and other marketplaces... It's just awful. I used to think some reviews were weird because they were overhyped by authors for ordinary stuff. Now I get where they're coming from and who's behind this whole operation.

I used to make around 6,000 bucks a year, but they owe me 1,000. It got stuck because I couldn't transfer it from the exchange except to cryptocurrency, which I don't want to do because it requires a full ID, a wallet, and all that biometric stuff. Plus, there are crazy fees for transferring and you can't even withdraw it to a card. You have to find some workarounds to exchange it through third-party services.

It's just a real bummer. And why should I care? 1,000 rubles isn't a big deal, but some people worked hard for 20 or 10 bucks, and then this happens. It's a huge disrespect to human labor, first and foremost, and secondly, to themselves. The admin always responds rudely, and don't even get your hopes up for any support from them.
