I'm absolutely loving the holiday season! As soon as December 1st rolls around, my car starts blasting holiday tunes, and I get to put up the Christmas tree a little earlier each year (this year, I was a bit late, putting it up on December 19th). I start getting a little crazy and obsessed with sparkly things. Normally, I don't wear much makeup, maybe a light foundation on small areas, but sparkly eyeshadows are a different story - I wear them without any prep, just apply and go!
Until this year, I was using regular eyeshadows. But this year, I decided to try out the Multipurpose Sparkles from Krygina Cosmetics, and I'm so glad I did.
According to the manufacturer, Sparkles are super-shimmering, 100% sparkly eyeshadows. Thanks to their two-sided coating, each sparkly particle will shine and reflect light, regardless of which side it's applied to your skin. This special production technology ensures that static electricity doesn't form between the sparkly particles, resulting in a smooth, even application. Plus, the colors can be mixed together!
The shelf life is unlimited.
Sparkles come in miniature jars with twist-off lids. I love the lids - usually, I just sprinkle a bit of sparkly eyeshadow into the jar and apply it with my fingers. It's so convenient!
The packaging includes the product name, production date, expiration date, and more, so you have all the necessary info right there.
It also comes with a protective sticker.
I have three shades to show you: Sand, Pretty Stars, and Prism. One thing to note is that all my sparkles are dry and flaky, but you can purchase a special primer to help with that.
Sand - these are super fine, almost powdery.
Pretty Stars - they're shaped like tiny stars, perfect for the holiday season!
Prism - a shifting polyhedron. It's also smaller, somewhere between Sand and Pretty Stars.

I usually just wear these glitters on their own. My favorite way to apply them is right above the cheekbones (instead of a highlighter) or in the inner corner of my eye. It looks festive without being too in-your-face - although, I guess some people might think I'm a crazy city girl.

I think the glitters hold up great on my skin without needing any extra fuss - just after applying some cream, but you can also use something with a cream or gel consistency (like I often do with this thing), so they stick even better, or use a makeup fixative spray.
