Geology for Mining: Koronovsky, Starostin, and Avdonin

This book is a game-changer for anyone in the mining industry. Written by three industry experts, Nikolay V. Koronovsky, Viktor I. Starostin, and Viktor V. Avdonin, it covers everything you need to know about geology for mining. I've seen a lot of guides out there, but this one's got the depth and expertise that'll actually make a difference. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this book's a must-have resource that'll keep you ahead of the curve.

Hello everyone!
I'm really impressed with Koronovskiy's 'Geology for Mining' textbook. As a fan of his work, I was stoked to dive into this e-book and see what it was all about.
I picked up a subscription to the e-book platform and was blown away by the 576-page content. It's a beast of a book, and I mean that in the best possible way.
Throughout this review, I'll be sharing my screenshots of the textbook.
I've also got Koronovskiy's 'Geology' textbook in e-book format, which I've found to be a solid resource for my studies.
Take a look at the table of contents. As you can see, the selection of topics is pretty comprehensive:
The info is presented in a super user-friendly format, with text, lists, tables, and diagrams. It's a breeze to take notes and highlight key points.
The diagrams are clean, clear, and easy to understand. I love how Koronovskiy breaks down complex concepts into simple, visual representations.
This textbook assumes you've got a solid foundation in geology, so it's not for beginners. If you're new to the field, I'd recommend starting with Koronovskiy's 'Geology' or Neklyukova's 'General Geology' before diving into this one.
I was particularly stoked by the in-depth analysis of fold deformations, including cliniform and synclinal folds. The diagrams really help you visualize the concepts, making it easier to understand.
The book also covers oceanic and continental crust, including mid-ocean ridges and earthquakes. It's a great resource for anyone looking to dive deeper into geology.
For those just starting out, I'd recommend checking out Koronovskiy's 'Geology' and Neklyukova's 'General Geology' first. Once you've got a solid foundation, you can move on to 'Geology for Mining.'
My Verdict
I'm really impressed with the content, but I did feel like it was missing some key topics, like subduction, abduction, collision, and geotectonics. As a result, I found myself referencing multiple textbooks to get a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
