Hello!
I recently discovered a Korean face mask on Wildberries that caught my eye with its impressive list of ingredients, including keratin – a must-have for my damaged locks.
Let's dive in!
The packaging is pretty standard for Korean skincare products, although some of them do come in more elaborate packaging.
I opted for the 30ml mini version, but I'd recommend going for the 200ml size – the mini one is a bit pricey (I paid around 270 RUB on Wildberries). The full-size version is around 700 RUB on Wildberries or LaToyal.
The egg-cellent packaging design had me thinking of a village I've never actually been to)
The list of goodies includes: Egg, keratin, olive oil, camellia oil, SPA water.
Description:
I was blown away by the extreme protection this hair mask offers. The keratin formula, loaded with keratin and egg yolk extract, is seriously effective at repairing even the most damaged locks. Olive and camellia oils do a fantastic job of nourishing and hydrating my hair and scalp, helping to restore damaged areas and add elasticity. The combination of these ingredients leaves my hair looking healthy, shiny, and silky smooth. Plus, it's free from artificial colors and mineral oils. The subtle lemon scent gives my hair a long-lasting freshness boost.
About the brand:
I've got to say, the phrase 'beauty begins with health' really resonates with me. At Doori Cosmetics, founded back in 1998, quality is rooted in genuine expertise. Their core principle is all about maintaining health and natural beauty based on Eastern medicine, which is all about finding harmony between humans and nature, with a dash of the latest scientific research. We all know beauty isn't forever, but people have always been on the hunt for ways to keep it going as long as possible. What sets Doori Cosmetics apart is that all their ingredients come straight from nature. Their products are based on medicinal plants that hold the secrets of the natural world and the energy of the East. After countless studies, Doori Cosmetics has become a true expert in creating natural, therapeutic products for hair and scalp care that the whole family can use. The Egg Planet brand was born in 2017, the Year of the Rooster, and it's all about using eggs as a key ingredient. Eggs contain protein and keratin, which are perfect for repairing and restoring damaged hair. And let's not forget that eggs are a great source of protein when you eat them, but they can also be used for hair, face, and body care. The eggs in their hair care products make your locks super soft, nourished, and strengthened. The brand's name is inspired by the fact that an egg resembles the planet Earth, and after using Egg Planet products, your hair will shine like the stars.
By the way, when I looked at the back of the product, I saw that the suppliers had stuck on a Russian label.

I have to admit, I was a bit wary of the silicon content in this product, as I try to avoid silicones in hair care products. But surprisingly, it didn't cause any buildup or weigh my hair down. In fact, it left my hair feeling soft and manageable.

The packaging was secure, and the dispenser was standard issue.

ORGANOLOGY
I've gotta say, this mask is pretty dense and holds its shape well. The texture is kinda silicone-y.
Despite the non-greasy texture, it still manages to moisturize my hair and absorbs quickly, leaving them feeling silky smooth.xa0
The color is this pastel yellowish hue with a hint of whiteness and a bit of translucency to it.
The scent is pretty strong and delicious, but I have no idea what it smells like – it's definitely not eggs, haha. The description says it's supposed to smell like lemon, but I don't get that at all. The aroma lingers on my hair, giving it a subtle sweetness.

It washes out pretty quickly with water, but you'll need to use some elbow grease and a decent water pressure to get it off.

APPLICATION
After using the keratin shampoo from EGG PLANET, I applied a generous amount of the mask to my damp hair, focusing on the ends and avoiding the roots. I left it on for 1-3 minutes before rinsing with water. If needed, I could repeat the process. It's suitable for daily use. Only for external application. Be careful not to get it in your eyes.

My Hair
I'll give you a quick rundown of my hair: it's not colored, just a few highlights, and I haven't had a trim since November – it's a bit unruly. It's not super long, but there's a small split end (no surprise there, given the time since my last cut!). Despite that, it's pretty straight, with a slight wave at the ends. And here's the thing: there's a hidden hormonal wave inside my hair, which is pretty rough to the touch and visually. That's the main reason I decided to try out this keratin mask.

Result
Following the instructions, I applied the mask to my damp hair. I'm using a different shampoo, Yves Rocher, which I've been happy with since I started using it. By the way, the mask does seep down to my roots, and I've noticed that, despite containing a demiticone, they don't feel heavy or greasy – I wash my hair every three days.

Effect It's amazing: my hair feels incredibly soft, lightweight, and easy to comb through, with each strand looking like it's been individually styled, yet forming a gorgeous, cohesive mane.

But...

Only when I touch it.

Visually, it's not as rosy a picture. Ready to see?
Here's the deal:
I have to say, the finish is a bit of a mess – but in a good way. They promised a healthy shine, and they delivered. The cut ends are still there, but that's just a matter of using some scissors to tidy them up.I think it's also pretty clear that my hair's a bit on the dry side.
The roots are clean and not weighed down, even after the mask's done its thing. There's no frizz, and no antennae for aliens to pick up a signal from. But the overall look is a bit of a letdown. I asked my husband to take a photo of my hair from the back, and his reaction was "You've got your hair brushed?" – which pretty much says it all. I mean, I did brush it before taking the photo, but... "It looks nice," I suppose.
Ah, yes, and my lovely hormonal curls aren't getting any less curly with this mask, even after blow-drying with the hair dryer. I was hoping they'd smooth out a bit, but I guess that's just not happening. Naive me.
I have to admit, my hair didn't look as terrible this time around as it did a month ago.xa0
I'll show you a non-staged photo from my life a bit over a month ago when I first used the mask:
The star of our review is still the Egg Planet mask. It looks pretty ugly, but, mamma mia, what was behind my head! The three strands on top didn't cover my wavy hair below. It looked absolutely ridiculous (I know, because after this, I went to the mall, where I actively measured clothes and posed in front of mirrors in the fitting room). It was like a mix of smooth hair on top and a wild, curly mess below. The hormonal wave seemed to be exacerbated by this mask, although it looked very nourished...xa0
COST-EFFECTIVENESS
I managed to use the 30ml mask four times, and there's still some left. I think I'll get at least two more uses out of it. So, for me, the cost-effectiveness is a plus.

I've gotta say, the texture of this mask is MY THING! (Except for that weird hormonal wave I get when I put it on). Visually, it's not bad, but it's not a game-changer either. I'm really disappointed, because I've read so many great reviews and seen some amazing hair transformations.
Despite all the rave reviews, I'm not going to shell out for the full-size version because of the weird, gloopy texture on my scalp. However, the mask itself is actually pretty good. It's just that it didn't work its magic on my hair, probably due to my hair type. But the texture is absolutely amazing – it's like a dream!
4 out of 5 stars for this mask – it's definitely worth it. I'm docking a point, though, because I was really hoping it would smooth out my hair. The keratin in the formula seemed like it would do the trick, but alas. If you're looking for a mask that'll make your hair feel amazing and look great, this one's worth trying.xa0
