KIKO Gold Waves Self-Tanning Bronzer

KIKO Gold Waves Self-Tanning Bronzer

I've tried my fair share of self-tanning products, but this one from KIKO really delivers. It's super easy to use - just apply it and you're good to go. The result is a natural-looking, long-lasting bronze effect that's perfect for anyone who wants a sun-kissed glow without the sun damage.

Scoring a Luxe Bronzer on a Budget: Kiko's Hidden Gems

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm obsessed with Kiko's Gold Waves bronzer - it's a game-changer for a sun-kissed glow on a budget. I scored a 50% discount in-store, making it an even sweeter deal. The bronzer has a decent volume and frequent promotions, so I'd say it's worth every penny. However, be aware that it can be comedogenic, so use it sparingly. The shade range is impressive, with plenty of options to suit different skin tones. I've also fallen in love with the waterproof eyeshadow I picked up for 300 rubles - it's a total winner. If you're looking for a budget-friendly bronzer that won't compromise on quality, Kiko's Gold Waves is definitely worth checking out.

Hello everyone! I'm super excited to share my hands-on experience with the baked bronzer Gold Waves from Kiko. I'd never owned a bronzer before, but this summer I decided to give it a try after a makeup artist and blogger, Koffkathecat, recommended it to me - she swears it's the best bronzer in the mid-range segment.
I was a bit surprised to find that it's not cheap - around 1800 rubles for 20 grams. Yes, the volume is decent, but it's still pricey. Luckily, when I decided to buy it in the store, there were 50% discounts, and the bronzer cost me 800-900 rubles. After that, I kept an eye out for promotions on the store's website - they happen quite often, so I might be able to catch a good deal and get the bronzer or another product at a discount. Speaking of which, I got a great waterproof eyeshadow from the same Gold Waves collection for 300 rubles.
So, here's my lovely bronzer:
The packaging, both the box and the bronzer itself, looks really great and expensive. It's clear that Kiko invested some serious thought into the design.
It's made in Italy, which is always a bonus. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are evident in every aspect of the product.
The packaging is solid, tightly closes. Inside, there's a pretty big and convenient mirror. It's a thoughtful touch that makes applying the bronzer a breeze.
There's a lot of product. The color combination, the shimmer look really nice. The texture is super smooth, silky, uniform, no separate particles. I guess it's because the bronzer is baked, it doesn't powder at all. And the scent! A lovely, subtle vanilla fragrance that lingers on the skin for a long time. in front of a window, with natural lighting under artificial lighting I've got the shade 01 Sun Celebration Honey, which I think suits most fair-skinned girls with a Slavic complexion. The color is spot on for both pale skin without a tan and skin that's been lightly kissed by the sun. There's no bronziness or terracotta tone at all. The pigmentation is top-notch, blending seamlessly and not leaving any streaks.
in front of a window, with natural lighting When you apply it, the individual sparkles are invisible, but once you blend it into your skin, it gives you a gorgeous, natural-looking glow. And when you're out in the sun, it's like a bomb just went off – it's that radiant.
The only downside, unfortunately, is the formula. Like many powder products, talc is the second ingredient, along with some comedogenic components, so girls with oily skin or acne-prone skin should be careful and not use this bronzer on a daily basis. I don't use it daily either, to be honest.
Honestly, the rest of the product is just amazing, and I'm super happy with my purchase. And to wrap things up, here's a photo with a bronzer on my face:
