Key West Foot File

I've tried a few foot files in the past, but this one's a game-changer. The fuchsia handle is super comfy, and the nano-glass surface is gentle on even the most sensitive skin. It's a breeze to use, and I love that it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. Plus, it's perfect for removing dead skin cells and giving my feet some much-needed TLC. I've used it for a week now, and I'm hooked - my feet have never felt better!

Editor's Summary

I was a bit skeptical about trying a laser nail file, but the Key West Laser Pumice Stone has been a total game changer for me. I've been using it for a week now, and the build quality has really impressed me - the buttons feel solid and the battery lasts longer than I expected. The real test, though, was how well it would handle my rough, thick toenails. And let me tell you, it's been a total breeze. I've been using it to smooth out my nails, and it's made a huge difference in their appearance. I was worried about the price, but I think it's worth every penny. One thing I love about this thing is how easy it is to use - even I, who's a bit clumsy, can handle it with no problem. The ergonomic design makes it super comfortable to hold and maneuver. And the pink color? Yeah, it's definitely a conversation starter. But seriously, this thing has been a total lifesaver for my poor, neglected feet.

I picked up this laser nail file in mid-2021 just for kicks. I was curious to try it out. Before this, I was using this one, and before that, I was using a regular emery board - not a pleasant memory, let's just say. This is my first laser file with nano-glass. It looks really unique. I mean, it's hard to pass it by. I've been using it with pleasure, and I like the color - it's my favorite, pink. But, of course, no product is perfect. If you're following me on social media, you've probably already seen it. It's time to share my experience with it in this review. There's not much information about these files on our site - I only found one review, check it out. That's not right, we need to fix it.

General info:

☆ Manufacturer - China

☆ Price at the time of purchase - 459 rubles

☆ I ordered it on Ozon, the link is dead * there's a similar one on VB now, but the brand is different

Unboxing:

The laser file arrived in a box and a plastic wrap. It looked really cute, but it was a real challenge to take a decent photo - it reflects everything! The body is coated with a mirror finish. It doesn't scratch, but it does get a bit dusty over time. ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽ ∽

Product info:

☆ From the manufacturer:

I've been using the Key West pumice stone with nano-glass for a week now, and it's been a game-changer for exfoliating my heels. The pumice stone is effective at removing cracks, calluses, and blisters, and the laser pumice stone even tackles the toughest skin without causing any irritation.

Don't get me wrong, I did overestimate its ability to handle cracks - not every product can tackle them, and this one's no exception. The pumice stone is more suited for maintaining the results you get from a pedicure at the salon, or if you have trouble-free feet and don't need to worry about calluses. It doesn't completely remove calluses and blisters, so if you're looking for a solution to those issues, you'll need a keratolytic.

☆ Composition:

Glass, plastic.

☆ Other details:

This product doesn't have any certifications or expiration dates, and the manufacturer is pretty tight-lipped about it. Not much info to go around.

Physical appearance:

Features:The pumice stone is made from super-strong material and can withstand drops without a problemWater-resistant, can be washed under the tapCompact size, perfect for travelThe unique shape makes it easy to hold and use, giving your heels a salon-fresh look without much effortSuitable for both men and womenNo soaking requiredWon't irritate your skinI've dropped it a few times, maybe more. Dropping it from a height of about half a meter didn't cause any issues, and it's water-resistant, which is a plus (unlike pumice stones with wooden handles that can crack or rot). However, it's best not to leave it in humid conditions. The compact size is a plus, but it does get slippery when wet, so be careful not to drop it. I've used it dry a few times, but it's not my go-to method. The pumice stone is gentle on skin, even if you overdo it.

Usage:

No before-and-after pics here, as everyone's feet are different and results will vary. If you really want to see the difference, I've linked to a similar review in the first paragraph - you can check it out there. This pumice stone is seriously great! It does a fantastic job of removing rough skin. Just follow the simple rules below to get the best results.

☆ How to use it:

1. Soak your feet in warm water for 10 minutes, then dry them with a towel.

2. Use the pumice stone to gently scrub away rough patches. If the stone gets clogged with dead skin, rinse it under running water and keep using it.

3. You can also use the laser pumice stone on dry feet.

4. After using it, apply a moisturizing cream to keep the effects going longer.

I followed the instructions to the letter, and the results are amazing! Unlike regular pumice stones, this one is gentler on the skin. It doesn't leave any scratches or marks, and it's much better at exfoliating. For really stubborn cases, you might need to use it a few times. You can also use it on dry skin, but the results won't be as dramatic - I personally prefer the old soak-and-scrub method. Alternatively, you can use a keratolytic (I've had great results with Nanopiatki, but I won't be writing a review for that one), rinse it off, and then use the pumice stone. Sometimes I do this, and my skin feels significantly softer.

☆ How it looks after a year of use:

The color has faded a bit at the edges, probably due to the humidity in my home. The top part has lost some of its shine, and there's a bit of a chalky residue. You can clean it off, but that's a job for later. For now, here's how the pumice stone has held up. The pumice stone itself is still in great shape - it's still super sharp and does its job beautifully. It's a bit more gentle than regular pumice stones, so it might take a bit longer to get the results you want. But it's worth it, as it won't scratch or leave any marks. And it's just so pretty. So, what's the verdict?

☆ It's a winner ☆ The build quality is top-notch

☆ Great results ☆ No nasty odors to deal with

▲ One minor gripe: the paint's started to flake off in some areas due to humidity

The laser pedicure tool from Key West really won me over. I'm already planning to buy it again - probably in the same color, or maybe the purple one. I highly recommend it to anyone.
