Hello everyone!
I'm sharing my crazy story about trying to get a refund from Kassir.ru after a concert was cancelled. If everything had gone smoothly, I wouldn't be writing this review. But, as they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
I've used Kassir.ru before, and it's basically the only game in town. Some events only sell tickets online, and there aren't many options. But, I've had a pretty good experience with them in the past.
The concert I was looking forward to was Alessandro Safina's show in Astrakhan. Yeah, you read that right – Astrakhan! The organizers went all out, promoting the event on the radio, TV, and plastering the city with posters. I was surprised, but I decided to treat myself and my mom, who loves classical music.
So, I bought two tickets for March 23rd, 2024. The total cost, including the service fee, was 9,900 rubles for two tickets. That's a pretty penny!
I'm sure you remember the incident at Crocus City Hall the day before the concert. The event was postponed, and I'm still wondering if Kassir.ru sent me a notification about it. The answer is no!Okay, I guess these things happen. So, I wrote to the service, asking for a refund. But instead, they offered me a choice: either get a refund or exchange my tickets for a new date – six months later! I foolishly agreed to the exchange, but in hindsight, I should have insisted on a refund right away.
So, what happened next? Well, eight days before the event, they suddenly cancelled it altogether! This time, they bothered to send me an email with instructions on how to write a return request - which they then refused to accept from me.
I wrote the request, attached all the necessary documents - kudos to me for keeping all those screenshots of tickets, payments, and correspondence.
No response whatsoever. Not even after two weeks. I had to write to support again, asking a reasonable question - how long would it take to get my money back.
I received a couple of standard dismissals, which also wasted my time.
And that was it. No response. When my next email was already pretty angry, I finally got a response - which I'll get to in the next part of my review.
Okay, so I'm not going to name and shame the concert organizer, but let's just say I've got a bad feeling about this. Firstly, I'm a decent person, and secondly, this is personal info. I'm hinting at the concert agency, F, and social media is full of people complaining about being ripped off. Anyway, the cashier was being super unhelpful, kept leading me on, and eventually told me to go to the organizer. Fine. I emailed the organizer, but got no response. But hey, I did get a WhatsApp number from the entrepreneur. Red flag, anyone?
As you can see, the final response was still pending, with grey checkboxes. The organizer didn't even bother to respond to my message, either via messenger or email. Note that I specifically asked for the amount without the service charge, all within the law.
Then, I just ignored them, and my message to Kassir.ru became a bit more aggressive.
I'm not going to die from hunger if I don't get the 9,000 (or 10,000 with the service charge) rubles, but still... What am I supposed to do with them?
The response was, of course, another standard rejection letter. Check the date - the concert was supposed to be on 17.11.2024, but the letter was dated 04.02.2025. My nerves are still frayed.
And this masterpiece of mine remains unanswered:
If you made it through that, I get to the best part of this review - getting my money back. A solution for those who've tried everything and were about to give up.
I wrote angry letters to the organizer and vented on social media, hoping they'd at least sweat a little. And then I stumbled upon the concert agency's group on VK. Wow, thousands of angry customers just like me! And this guy Pavel starts typing, saying he created a Telegram group for us, the poor souls. Thanks to you, Pavel, if you're reading this, you're a lifesaver!
UPDATE: Just to clarify, I'm not revealing any personal info.
So, this one girl in the Telegram group said she disputed the transaction through the bank! They gave her everything back, even the small fee! And it was basically a tiny bank, OZON!
I got inspired by her story. But some people were told they were out of luck because it had been too long. I thought, why not give it a shot! I found the payment from March 2024 in the bank app, clicked 'dispute,' and explained everything.
Two days later, a bank employee called me. I told her the whole story, from the canceled concert to the current situation. She was super nice and asked me to email the bank, describing everything and attaching all the receipts, including those angry social media posts. I did exactly that, sent a huge bundle of documents. And... a short time later, they returned the full amount, including the fee!
Gazprombank is the best! Justice prevails! I shared my story in the Telegram group, and unfortunately, not everyone got their money back. But I truly wish every customer gets their money back.
The moral of the story is to never give up! Even when a few doors close, another one will eventually open. Of course, the bank will only take your complaint if you've been rejected by the IP and the service, and you'll need to provide supporting documents.
I'd give the service a single star, and that's being generous. The reason is that they don't allow me to leave a lower rating according to their site's rules. It's super convenient for them to pass the buck to the organizer, and I'm impressed by their ability to keep me on hold with endless automated messages. It's been a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. Rating: one star. Hopefully, my review will help at least one person avoid the same experience.
Take care, everyone!
