Editor's Summary
We bought the Junion kitchen for our daughter's second birthday, and it's been a total game changer. The wooden design is way more durable than those flimsy plastic ones, and our little one loves banging away on it. We snagged it from Wildberries for 3,500 rubles, which is a steal considering the quality. The battery life is seriously impressive, and the build quality is solid - I was worried it might be cheaply made for the price. Specifications
We bought the Junion kitchen in October for our daughter's second birthday. She had a few options to choose from, but she ended up picking the wooden Junion kitchen 'Corner of Tasty Stories' because it seemed more durable than the lightweight plastic one and vandal-proof. Our daughter is definitely not a neat freak, she likes to bang on things and pull on everything.
I ordered it from Wildberries, and the price was pretty reasonable at 3,500 rubles. The reviews were positive, and it looked great in the photos. To be honest, I did have some doubts about whether it was actually made of wood for 3,500 rubles, considering the plastic ones at our local stores cost around 5-6 thousand. But when the product arrived, and I opened the box, all my doubts were gone!

My Impressions, More Details about Junion Wooden Kitchen 'Corner of Tasty Stories'
We were really impressed by how well the kitchen was packed - it came with extra packaging, which made the main box look almost brand new! I mean, that's the seller's doing, but I thought it was worth mentioning. I'll add a link to the seller at the end of this review - they're really reliable, and sometimes the packaging is so good that you don't even want to take the product out of the box, let alone give it as a gift!
When we opened the box, I unfortunately couldn't take a photo of how carefully each part was wrapped in individual packaging! We were in a hurry with my husband to assemble the kitchen before our daughter woke up and saw her gift. But you can see from the photo below how much packaging there was - it's clear that everything was carefully wrapped.
Now, let's get to the assembly. Yes, there are a lot of parts, but each part is numbered, and there's a detailed instruction manual that shows you how to assemble it. Anyone can assemble it with just a screwdriver and some time!
I've gotta say, the material quality is top-notch. The wooden details are all beautifully crafted, feel great to the touch, and are perfectly smooth. The parts that are painted don't have that harsh chemical smell, and there aren't any chips or cracks. The plastic is solid too! The hardware is great quality as well. My husband and I were both impressed by how well-made this is, especially considering it's a fraction of the cost of similar kitchen sets for adults. During assembly, all the parts fit together seamlessly - it's clear they thought through every detail.
Another thing I love about this Junion Wooden Kitchen 'The Corner of Delicious Stories' is the awesome accessories for kids. Here are some of the highlights:
LED lighting under the exhaust fan and in the oven
LED lighting under the cooktop burners
Sound effects for the stovetop
Sound effects for the exhaust fan
A mechanism for pouring ice into a cup
It's got a microwave and sink, plus shelves and opening doors.
And the lighting is pretty cool - it even comes with batteries. The kitchen comes with a small set of dishes, including a stainless steel pan, a wooden spoon, and a plastic ice tray.
The kitchen is pretty tall, so it's perfect for kids under 3 or 4 years old (it's 60cm from the floor to the countertop).
🔸6. How it holds up over time. I'm writing this review two months after buying it, and as you can see from the pics, everything is still intact and working, even after my kid played with it nonstop. The kitchen is super sturdy - my kid's never managed to knock it over!
🔸7. Age range. The box says 3+, but I think kids as young as 2 will love it - there are no small parts that can be a choking hazard, and it's just generally a safe and fun toy.
Verdict : I'm absolutely recommending the Junion Wooden Kitchen 'Corner of Delicious Stories' to anyone looking for a great toy! My 2-year-old loves it, and it's been a huge hit - she's been opening and closing the doors, and just generally having a blast. I think it's worth way more than what we paid for it - the quality is top-notch, and it's been a great way to encourage imaginative play.
