My trusty iPhone - two years on and still going strong!

summarizeEditor's Summary

I recently ditched my Android for an iPhone, and it's been a total game changer. The quality of my photos and videos has improved dramatically, and I love how easy it is to use. I was a bit hesitant at first, but after a week, I was hooked. The build quality is solid, and the battery life is longer than I expected. Transferring all my data from my old Honor to the new device was a breeze, and I was comfortable using it in no time. I was skeptical about spending 60,000 rubles on a used iPhone, but it was worth every penny.

Hello there!
&xa0;
I'm like most people, I've always stuck with Androids when it comes to choosing a smartphone. It was just what I was used to, it was affordable, and it met all my needs. But as I got more into blogging and Instagram, I started to notice that the quality of my photos – especially videos – was really lacking compared to others. I'm not afraid to ask people who follow me, 'What camera do you use?' And more often than not, they'd say, 'iPhone.' Some had an 11, others had a 12 or 13, and I thought to myself, 'I need one of those.' I wasn't keen on buying a brand new one, so I looked into buying a used iPhone from a reputable company. That's how I found a 12 Pro with 256GB of storage, gold finish, and original packaging, all in perfect condition, for 60,000 rubles.
&xa0;
Switching from Android to an iPhone wasn't easy for me. I transferred all my data from my old Honor to the new device in no time. It took me just two minutes to get comfortable using the new phone, and my old one ended up with my son.
&xa0;
I got an iPhone for one reason – to take better photos and videos. That's the sole purpose of my purchase. The prestige of the brand and the Apple logo mean nothing to me.
&xa0;
The camera... it's just amazing! Especially when shooting outdoors with plenty of natural light. I can even skip editing and still get vibrant, natural-looking photos. Of course, it's a different story indoors, where it's a bit darker, and my photos can look a bit noisy. But they're still better than what I was getting with my Android.
One thing I love about the camera is that I can shoot videos at 60 frames per second. Yes, they're bigger files, but the smoothness and lack of judder make them a joy to watch.
My only gripe with the camera is shooting black subjects, especially black clothing. Sometimes, the autofocus struggles, and the black areas can take on a strange blue or gray hue. But that's a minor quibble for me.

I've got to say, capturing the kids' moments has been a real treat. Every emotion is so beautifully captured, and it's like you're right there with them. I wish I'd had a camera like this when my daughter was born – I could've taken so many amazing shots.
Portrait modeOvercast skiesWidened lensI've also been loving capturing my cats – they're such naturals in front of the camera!
Portrait modeThe photos of nature I took on our trip to Altai are still some of my favorites – I could look at them all day.

Режим портретныйOne thing that's great about this camera is that it's perfect for capturing special moments, like New Year's Eve.
Low-light shooting is another area where this camera shines.
And finally, the front-facing camera is great for quick selfies.
Indoor PhotographyGood weatherShooting for reviews is a total breeze – the photos don't get all pixelated, and everything snaps into focus really quickly.
Now, let's add a bit of a negative note. The one thing that really gets my goat about the iPhone is the battery life. I'd heard rumors that the battery was a weak point in these phones, and I can attest to that. After two years of using my previous smartphone, I'd already had to replace the battery once – it cost me 4,000 rubles back then, and I'm sure it's even more expensive now. Even if you get a battery with a full capacity, it's no guarantee that you'll be able to use your phone all day without worrying about running out of juice. I've learned a few tricks to help me get the most out of my iPhone's battery – I always close my background apps, turn on the power-saving mode, and if I need to take a lot of photos, I put the phone in airplane mode. My power bank is my best friend, though! All in all, the battery life is tolerable for me, since I spend most of my time at home. But if you're someone who uses their phone all day and doesn't have a chance to charge it at work, be prepared to carry around a dead brick for half the day.
I've gotta say, my experience with this iPhone has been pretty solid. I might not have covered everything, but I'm sharing my honest thoughts as I see it.
&xa0;
Thanks a ton for taking the time to read my review!
