So, I'm gonna give you the lowdown on all the pros and cons of this thing. Check out the pics as we go along. I picked up this Kidz Delight Toddly Fun Alphabet learning tablet for my little one at Detsky Mir for 1799 rubles. Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but I guess you can find it cheaper elsewhere. It's got some decent specs - 29cm x 28cm x 4cm, so it's not too heavy. The first thing that caught my eye was how bright and cheerful it looks on the shelf. The colors are great, the size is just right (not too big, not too small), and the buttons are nice and tactile. They're shaped like little candies, and you just wanna press 'em! When you do, they light up. It's got some demo batteries in it, so you can play with it right out of the box. The tablet's got a pretty nice, upbeat female voice that's easy to listen to. And the build quality is solid - no complaints there.Here's the thing: I think this toy is perfect for kids from 1 to 4 years old. Of course, a one-year-old won't be able to do the tasks, but they love pressing buttons at this age! 🙃

Check out the top three buttons - the red and orange ones light up brightly, but the green one in the middle is barely visible.

Another cool feature is the 'Numbers' game mode, where the toy says all the numbers from 1 to 10 when you press any button. Even a one-year-old would find this interesting and educational.

Now, about the downsides:

1. There's no volume control in the toy, which is a bit of a bummer. The sound is a tad too loud, especially when there's another kid sleeping in the next room. I'd turn it down a notch.

2. The yellow, orange, and red buttons light up super brightly! It's like a feast for the eyes! On the other hand, the green and blue buttons are super dim. We even replaced the batteries, but it didn't make a difference - even in a relatively dark room, the green and blue buttons are hard to spot (check out the photos).

3. The first game is super helpful - the kid presses any button, and the toy says, 'This is the letter E!' - for example. But why does it need to say 'THIS IS THE LETTER E!' every time? Can't it just say the letter? It gets annoying after a while.

4. I also think it's a bad idea to combine two letters on one button. Why not give each letter its own button? Most letters have their own button, but 'EYO', 'IY', 'SHY', and 'YBY' are all combined on one button. How are you supposed to explain that to a kid?

5. It's a shame that there are no separate buttons for the numbers.

6. Lastly, the top button that switches between games doesn't rotate 180 degrees - it's a bit clumsy and illogical. To turn it off, you need to rotate it in the opposite direction, which makes a loud noise.Honestly, I'm stoked about the game, but the Chinese guys always leave a few loose ends (whoever's behind the design is). My 2.5-year-old son has already figured out four out of eight levels (Levels 1, 6, 7, 8) – he's a natural!
