I'm Seriously Impressed - This Mini Washer Gets the Job Done!

I've got to say, car wash prices have been going up every six months or so, but the quality just isn't improving. I'm a stickler for cleanliness, and lately, I've been really disappointed with the car washes. They often don't use enough soap, and the water pressure is super weak. And let's be real, it's not cheap - I'm talking 400-500 rubles per wash. In the winter, I wash my car just as often as I do in the rest of the year, but with all the road salt they use, it's really bad for my car. So, I try to rinse it off, but if it's freezing outside, I just don't bother.

I'm so over these car washes that just don't cut it, so I decided to get a high-pressure washer, the Karcher K 5 Classic. I bought it in the spring from the M. Video store for 32,000 rubles. Yeah, it's a pretty steep price, but I was getting tired of the car washes. Here are some of the things that were bugging me:

The soap was terrible;The water pressure was weak;The car washes were too far from my house;The cost per wash was around 500 rubles and up;The wait times were ridiculous.So, I decided to take the plunge and get a high-pressure washer. I specifically wanted a Karcher, not some other brand. The Karcher K 5 Classic (1,950-700.0) is available on Yandex Market, but I'm not sure if it's a genuine product or not.

The washer itself is a nice yellow color, pretty compact, and lightweight - even a petite girl could move it around. It weighs 5.6 kg.

I took some photos during the process, and I have to say, I didn't think I'd be writing a review, so they're pretty raw and unedited.

The package includes:

I still have the box. I know it's not relevant, but I thought I'd mention it.

Now, I just use it to store random junk.

It comes with a Quick Connect pistol, an 8-meter high-pressure hose, a Vario Power lance (VPS), a dirt brush, and a water filter.

I have to say, 8 meters of hose is more than enough. It's actually really convenient.

I have to say, the power of this thing is seriously strong. At first, I found it overwhelming. It felt like I was going to lift off the ground. But after a while, I got used to it.

After that, I bought a special cleaning solution. Now I know exactly how to keep my stroller clean.

After our trip to Turkey, I gave my stroller a good scrub with a brush. It was absolutely filthy. And cleaning it was taking way too long, and it wasn't getting as clean as I wanted.

So, I'd spray the cleaning solution, wait about 20 minutes for it to soak in, and then rinse it off.

It was summer time, and the stroller dried off really quickly.

I usually just wipe it down with a cloth or a paper towel, but after our beach trip, the stroller was covered in sand, dust, and dirt. I wanted to give it a good deep clean to get rid of all the bacteria.

I know some people are against using a brush to clean their strollers, but I don't see the problem. In fact, it's a great way to get rid of all the built-up dirt and grime. Especially in the areas where the baby sits, there's a lot of sand and crumbs from food. With the right pressure, it all comes out, and the stroller ends up looking brand new. When I bought the "Carrello Bravo", the salesperson showed me that the fabric is removable and can be washed in the washing machine. But I prefer to use a brush for cleaning. It's just easier and more effective.

I also cleaned my stroller in the winter. The thing is, we already have a lot of snow, and it's better for the baby to ride in a sleigh. So, I decided to give the stroller a good cleaning and store it until spring.

And, of course, we apply the cleaning solution, wait, and then rinse it off.

I was thrilled to see how clean the stroller became. I couldn't capture every nook and cranny, I was in a rush, and the snow was falling in thick flakes. But overall, the difference was noticeable. There was a lot of dirt left on the snow.

And, I washed the machine too. We have a 3-step process: dirty, soapy, and clean.

Clean? Absolutely! I'll say this, I prefer the Karcher over the city car wash. Here, I know exactly what detergent to use and I take my time to rinse it properly. At the self-service car wash, time's a concern. I have a lot of vehicles to wash, including my sledge and bike. My husband even suggests washing the windows. Why not, right? I'll have to try that next spring. For now, I'm just washing my vehicles. It's very convenient and quick.

Honestly, I've noticed not only the cost savings, but also the comfort. I can wash my vehicle whenever I want, without having to wait in line or rush. It's all very relaxed. Is the Karcher worth the money? Absolutely! Especially if you like washing your vehicle often.

My neighbors have the HUTER. They're not too happy with it. Their water pressure is weak, and they've had to repair it a few times. I don't know what's going on with their unit, but I think it might be a quality issue. Maybe they just got a dud.

I don't see any downsides to the Karcher, except for the price. But I don't think that's a reason to lower the rating.

Despite the cost, the Karcher K 5 Classic has many advantages:

My friends keep asking me if my child gets any allergic reactions after washing the stroller. No, they don't! It's actually worse when the stroller is dirty.

By the way, I wrote about the stroller in this post, which is featured in the photos. It's the best model in its price range (up to 30,000 rubles).

But, I wouldn't recommend the BABALO brand. Their stroller fell apart after just six months (see here).

I've been lucky enough to hit the slopes on these sleds for 1,259 rubles. My son absolutely loves them (check it out). But let me tell you, those pricey sleds for 15,000 rubles were a total waste of money. I wouldn't have bought them even if you paid me!

So, are you still on the fence about getting a toboggan? I've already made up my mind and I'm loving this awesome winter gear.

And yeah, I even use it in the winter. Just make sure it's not below freezing!
