My Experience with a Cotton Face Mask from a Scooter
I've been relying on my cotton face masks a lot lately, especially with the heat arriving. They used to collect dust in the winter, but now I'm reaching for them more often. There are also notches on the sides for easy and quick opening of the sachet.
The expiration date is printed on the thread of the mask. I like that these products have a long shelf life. My mask is valid until 2025, so I wasn't worried that it would expire before I used it. It just sat there, waiting for me to notice it.
Thanks to the notches on both sides, I was able to open the mask without using scissors, teeth, or any other tools. The mask easily opened with my hands.

When I opened the package, I was pleased to see the mask had been carefully folded. The sticker was white and had no design on it. To be honest, I wouldn't say the sticker was super thin, but it wasn't thick either. It was just the right thickness for me.
But what really caught my attention was the strong, sweet aroma. It was like a punch in the face - I was surprised because most skincare products have a much more subtle scent. This smell lingered with me throughout the application and even after.
After washing my face, I didn't apply any serums or creams. I just patted my skin dry and applied the mask. The sticker settled pretty well on my face, although there were a few wrinkles and air pockets here and there. But overall, it wasn't too bad.
The next step was to relax and let the mask do its thing for 20-25 minutes. If you're like me and can't just sit still, the mask will stay put - you can even watch TV or do some light stretching without it coming off. Just be careful not to overdo it, or the sticker might get dry and uncomfortable.
I have oily skin, and I was hoping this mask would help reduce the shine and soothe my acne-prone areas. Unfortunately, the results were a bit of a letdown.
After 20 minutes, I removed the sticker and applied the remaining serum to my face. I didn't judge the results right away - I gave it some time to absorb and settle. But when I finally took a closer look, I was a bit disappointed.

As you can see, my skin still looks a bit oily and tacky. The serum didn't fully absorb, and I'm left with a sticky residue. It's not exactly what I was hoping for.
I have to say, the bags under my eyes got even more pronounced after using this mask. That's the opposite of what I was hoping for - I wanted a healthy-looking face, not a tired one.
However, after wiping my face with a toner, it did look better. The greasiness and shine from the mask film were gone, and I was left with a decent result.
I didn't experience any irritation from the mask, but the effect of the film on my skin was a major letdown. Throughout the day, my skin felt normal, but that pesky film ruined everything.
Final Verdict
I'm not impressed with this fabric mask from the scooter. First of all, it has a really strong, pungent smell that's off-putting. And secondly, the effect is just mediocre. Yes, it did provide some moisture and a bit of nourishment, but that film on my face totally ruined it for me.
I wouldn't buy this mask again. My rating is 3 stars. I wouldn't recommend it!
