Editor's Summary
I recently made the switch from Fruitnanny to Sadovy Priodonny's Puree, and I'm thrilled with my decision. The puree is a game-changer for my little one's meals - it's incredibly easy to use, and the quality is top-notch. I love that it's made with wholesome ingredients and no added sugars. The best part? It's a total value for money, and the shipping was super fast. I was a bit skeptical about the build quality at first, but it's held up amazingly well so far. The customer support team is also super responsive and helpful. My only gripe is that the return policy could be a bit clearer, but that's a minor complaint. Overall, I'm so glad I made the switch - my kid loves the puree, and I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing I'm giving them the best.
Specifications
Hello everyone!
I've been introducing solid foods to my baby, and recently I switched from Fruvonian cucumbers to Sadov PriDonnaya cucumbers. Today, I'll be sharing my thoughts on their puree.
▼ Full name: Sadov PriDonnaya Cucumber Puree▼ Where to buy: You can find it in most stores, and in Magnit, it costs 41 rubles. If you buy a bigger pack on WB, the price per unit is 29.80 rubles. You can also buy it here.
▼ Volume: 80 grams
▼ Production: Russia, Volgograd Oblast
Appearance
The puree comes in a glass jar. I like that the label doesn't cover the entire surface, so you can see how the puree looks without opening the jar.
The jar is sealed well. I've never had a situation where the jar wasn't airtight when opening it. The lid closes tightly again, which is important since my baby sometimes eats the puree in two sittings.
Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Since you can store the opened jar in the fridge for just one day, I'm confident in the product's naturalness.
Nutritional value
The composition is simply a cucumber, just like other manufacturers' products. I'm glad there's no salt, cornstarch, or other additives. I follow pediatricians' recommendations and choose single-component products. The product contains 20 kcal, but the manufacturer notes that the value may vary. As always, it's a great option for both kids and adults who want a healthy and low-calorie snack.
Sensory properties
Consistency is perfect - uniform and without any lumps. It's slightly watery, which is typical for cucumbers in general. This consistency is ideal for babies from 4 months old.
Color is light green. It's lighter than Fruvonian puree, but cucumbers can be completely different depending on the variety, so I'm not surprised by the difference.
Flavor is natural and really pleasant. The puree is ever so slightly sweet, which is characteristic of unsalted zucchini. I'm a big fan of zucchini myself, and I often cook it in the summer. But zucchini is a pretty neutral-tasting veggie, so I think a lot of people will like it.Before giving it to my kid, I tried it myself. My daughter and I both loved the puree.
My opinion on the product
The advantages of this puree are numerous:
Puree is always airtight-sealed. I've never seen any weird residue or sediment on the can when I opened it, which means they're doing a great job with production and storage.
My kid loves eating it. My daughter is already familiar with zucchini, and we've introduced other veggies like broccoli, pumpkin, and so on. She devours this puree from Sadov PriDonnaya just as enthusiastically as she does from other brands, so it's definitely on par.
The puree is well-tolerated. I didn't notice any issues with quality, and my kid's body reacted well to it. There were no rashes, digestive problems, or anything like that.
Of course, the thing that really stands out is the puree's simple, one-component composition. I've seen other canned purees labeled as 'from 4 months' with milk, cereals, and other stuff in the ingredients. That's just unnecessary, in my opinion. You should introduce new foods gradually, but that's beside the point. In this case, the puree has a great composition and saves time. You don't have to cook the veggies and blend them – it's a huge time-saver for busy moms like me.
Also, I like that the price is extremely budget-friendly, despite the great quality.
This puree is even cheaper than its competitors, and it's hard to tell the difference in terms of taste and texture. I originally bought it on a whim because the price of Fruvonian had skyrocketed by 40% in the store where I usually get it. The only difference between this puree and Fruvonian is the slightly lighter color and the price, but as I mentioned earlier, it's possible that they use different zucchini varieties, because they taste and smell identical to me.Left: Fruvonian, right: Sadov PriDonnaya
I highly recommend Sadov PriDonnaya's zucchini puree! If you're interested in reading about other purees with a clean composition, check out my reviews:Frutonyanya Broccoli Puree – I go into detail about introducing solid foods

Now, let's talk about the value for money aspect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product delivers on its promises without breaking the bank. The build quality is solid, and I've put it through its paces – literally. I used it for a week, and I'm still impressed with how well it holds up. The ease of use is another major plus. It's incredibly intuitive, and I found myself getting comfy with it in no time. I even managed to return it to its original packaging without any issues – a testament to its well-designed shipping materials. I've had my fair share of customer support interactions, and I'm happy to report that the team is responsive and helpful. One minor quibble I have is with the battery life, but it's not a deal-breaker by any means. All in all, I'm thoroughly enjoying my time with this product, and I think it's a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable companion.
