Huggy Wuggy Factory

I've got a soft spot for the Huggy Wuggy Factory - it's a cuddly companion that's perfect for kids of all ages. This adorable plush toy is designed to provide endless fun and companionship, making it a great value for money. My little ones love taking it on adventures and snuggling up with it at night.

My Kids Aren't Afraid of Huggy Wuggy, and Neither Should Yours

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'll admit it – I was skeptical at first, but Huggy Wuggy has won me over big time. This thing is a total game changer, especially for kids who love adventure games like Poppy Playtime. What really surprised me was the build quality – it's super sturdy and feels solid in your hands. Of course, the price tag is a bit steep (1900 rubles for one toy), but trust me, it's worth every penny. My kids aren't afraid of Huggy Wuggy, and neither should yours. They love how tall it is (110 cm) and how it's soft to the touch. Plus, it's surprisingly easy to clean – just toss it in the washing machine and voila! The emotions it evokes in kids are priceless – it's a great way to encourage bravery and confidence. I've seen my kids face their fears and come out on top, and it's an amazing feeling as a parent.

I'll be honest, I was a bit surprised when I found out that Huggy Wuggy was banned in Russia, even though it had already been sold out everywhere. Luckily, my grandma had bought two of them for me back when they were all the rage.
✔️ Huggy Wuggy is a whopping 110 cm tall, with all sorts of different versions out there. I'm not sure if you can still find them in Russia.
✔️ The price was a whopping 1900 rubles for one of these things.
✔️ The colors are a vibrant blue and green.
✔️ Here's the story of Huggy Wuggy.
Huggy Wuggy is the main antagonist in the horror game Poppy Playtime. It's an anthropomorphic creature with blue fur, a triangular head, and a massive grin with multiple rows of sharp teeth.
Originally, it was friendly, but after a factory accident, it became obsessed with hunting down the main character.
✔️ The ban in Russia.
In late 2022, these toys were banned in Russia due to excessive phenol content and potential harm to children's mental health.
I'm always surprised by the checks they do on popular items like this. Meanwhile, it's a well-known candy store that sells sweets with E-171, but nobody ever checks those. And yet, they found phenol in these toys. Long story short, I'm not sure what to make of it.
✔️ Huggy Wuggy's appearance.
Initially, Huggy Wuggy was blue and fluffy. I guess they started making other colors later on.
It feels nice to the touch, with long arms that connect to other characters using a sticker:
It has long legs and arms, just like in the fairy tale 'Little Red Riding Hood'. To move faster and grab things farther:
Its teeth are sharp and huge, and its mouth is stretched into a grin:
These are literally razor-sharp fangs, unevenly spaced and not exactly aesthetically pleasing:
Its eyes are protruding, very well-made, and stuck on:
I've got to say, the quality of the toys is pretty good.
However, after a while, the threads started to come undone:
✔️ Our impressions.
My daughter asked her grandmother to get her this toy for her birthday. We ended up buying it for both of our daughters.
At first, I was hesitant about this toy with its weird and intimidating design, but the girls assured me that this character is currently in style.
After that, I could hear other kids on the street saying, "Mom, get me one of these!"
I get it, trends are important for kids, and I don't see any threat to a child's psyche from this toy. The government should be more concerned with checking out drunk or unstable parents rather than toys.
I remembered a movie about a kid who was rejected by his mother from the moment he was born:
The mother had an aversion to Alyosha from the moment he was born...and when they got divorced, she decided to send him to an orphanage. Alyosha's tragic life story. And my own experiences from my life.
I think it's the parents who are more frightening, and they're the ones who instill certain fears in their kids. As often happens, if a mother is afraid of something, her child will be too. I mean, in Russia, kids are already scared of Buriatino. Although, I don't see anything scary about it:
I remember my own childhood, we loved watching horror movies. And no one was particularly scared of "The Return of the Living Dead" or Freddy Krueger:
Every kid goes through their own fears, and by the time they're adults, they'll have fewer or no fears at all. By trying to shield our kids from experiencing these fears, we're just delaying the process until they're older:
What's good about this!
So, I'm supporting the kids and buying them scary toys like Haggi-Waggi, Labubu, and we even went to see Buriatino, which isn't very pleasant-looking, but it's got a good heart!
BURIATINO was a hit with the girls, and that's what matters! We watched it in a unique 60-frame-per-second format, and it was amazing! I don't get why you'd take a children's fairy tale and break it down into your own twisted fantasies?! Why do everything have to be beautiful?!
These toys are a blast to cuddle with - they're super soft to the touch. And in the plane, they were a total dream to lounge around on!
Yeah, we took them on the plane with us, and no one was scared - not even the kids, who kept pointing at us and saying they wanted one too!
Thanks for reading! Wishing you all happiness, peace, and good vibes! \u2708
