cancelCons
- The palette is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it for the quality and design.
- Some of the shades can be a bit tricky to blend, especially if you're new to makeup.
- The palette doesn't come with a mirror, which is a bit of a bummer.
- The packaging is a bit bulky, which can make it hard to store in my makeup bag.
- I wish there were more shade options available, but I guess that's just a personal preference.

Editor's Summary
I gotta say, I'm absolutely loving the Hourglass face palette in the Horse case with a universal shade layout. The design is stunning, and the shades are so soft and smooth. I've been using it nonstop since I got it, and I'm so glad I decided to splurge on it. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey, but trust me, it's worth every penny.
Specifications
Hello fellow beauty enthusiasts, today I'm excited to share my thoughts on the Hourglass face palette in the Horse case with a universal shade layout that I recently got my hands on.
I've mentioned before in my review of the light shade layout with the Deer that I always get a new palette every year on my birthday. To make things easier, I simply ask for the lightest shade layout, as I have a light skin tone, and they send me the lightest shade available. But this year, I fell in love with the design of the medium palette with the Swan and Horse, so I decided to order them separately. And finally, after a month of waiting, it arrived from abroad!

Packaging
The palette comes with a protective film on the lid, which is a great idea. However, the lid's design, with a convex center, makes it prone to scratches even when the palette is moved inside the box. It's then wrapped in a cardboard insert and a main box that matches the palette's design. The case is made of metal, feels heavy and solid, and looks premium. Inside, there's a mirror without a film, but it's of excellent quality, with no scratches or distortions.
Textures are incredibly soft, powdery, and fine-grained. When you pick up a color on your finger, it feels like powder, thin and silky. When applied to the skin, it blends easily without any patchiness or streaks. And the best part? It's completely fragrance-free.

I use these palettes in my daily makeup routine. I've got a butterfly, a medusa, a dragon, an elk, and a swan in my arsenal, and now I've got a horse. My hand tends to reach for the dragon, and after a year, the tips of the refills have started to show, especially with the blushes, which are incredibly delicate. And the horse has a similar shade, but with lighter streaks. It's definitely going to be a favorite.
I apply the sculptor/bronzer with a trixy brush from gevmua. The blushes I apply with a modeling shik brush. And the highlighter is extra from gevmua.
The textures are incredibly delicate and gentle to work with. They apply smoothly, blend quickly, and seem to melt into my skin like nothing's there. But they still last all day. They don't fade, get dull, or look anything less than great.
It's just a pleasure to pick up this metal case. It feels like luxury in my hands.
Tones
There are six products in this palette:
1 - soft light - a finishing powder in a light beige shade. It's even suitable for fair skin. It blurs and gives my skin a healthy, sun-kissed effect. It smooths out pores and makes my skin look like a second skin.
2 - mood exposure - blushes with streaks in a shade that I've grown particularly fond of in the dragon, and I've already worn it out a bit. It's a delicate, versatile shade that's perfect for any makeup look. It beautifully refreshes my face and gives me a rested look.
Comparison of blushes 4 from the dragon and blush 2 from the horse Comparison of blushes 4 from the dragon and blush 2 from the horse Blush 2 Blush 23 - a supernatural strobe light - super delicate and light highlighter. It applies in a thin veil and looks like natural skin glow. It beautifully highlights the cheek area without drawing attention with a bright stripe.
Bronzer + blush 4 + highlighter4 - iridescent coral - bright peach-coral blushes with shimmer. It has good pigmentation and for a beautiful, thin application, you need a super light touch with the tip of the brush. But it blends well and looks natural.
Blush 45 - iridescent rose - blushes that are similar to shade 2, but with pink undertones and sparkles. They're light and delicate, perfect for everyday use. They give your face a fresh, rested look.
Rouge 5 Rouge 56 - glistening bronze light - this gorgeous illuminating sculptor. It blends seamlessly with my skin tone and looks like a natural, beautiful shadow. It applies in a thin, even layer, subtly enhancing the right areas. It doesn't cake or oxidize. A worthy and gorgeous shade.
SculptorMakeup:
Bronzer + rouge 4 + highlighterWear is incredibly small. Since the pans are baked, they don't powder and accumulate gradually. With daily use, one pan of rouge lasts a year, despite containing 1.4 grams.
Longevity is amazing all day. All products look just as vibrant as they did when I applied them. They don't fade or get rubbed off.
Removal is easy. Like with a hydrating oil or micellar water, everything comes off quickly without a residue.
I'll wrap it up by saying that these palettes are my absolute faves. And the horse-themed layout hit right in the heart. The universal, long-lasting shades with great pigmentation and ease of use make them totally worth every penny. I highly recommend giving them a try.
