Honey Kid Kids Shampoo for Children Aged 3 and Up

I've tried a bunch of kids shampoos on my little ones, but Honey Kid's really stands out. This stuff is gentle and gets the job done - perfect for daily use. The brand's got a rep for making high-quality, kid-friendly products that are easy to use and won't irritate sensitive skin. Trust me, you can't go wrong with Honey Kid.

I'm Not Buying the 'Honey Kid' Shampoo for My Kids - What's Up with the Methyloxazolidinone?

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've got to be honest, if you're looking for a kid's shampoo, you're better off avoiding the 'Honey Kid' line. I've had some major issues with their products, and it's not just a one-time thing. The 0+ wash gel caused redness and itchiness in my newborn, and the 2-in-1 bath gel left unsightly marks on my baby's sensitive skin. I've also experienced dryness with their soap. It's not just a matter of being picky - the ingredients in some of these products are seriously concerning. If you're a parent, do yourself a favor and take a closer look at the ingredients before making a purchase. I've used these products on my kids, and I've seen firsthand the problems they can cause. Don't get me wrong, the packaging is cute and colorful, and the products are affordable, but that's where the good news ends.

I've got to be honest, if you're looking for a kid's shampoo, put the 'Honey Kid' back on the shelf and let the manufacturer deal with it.
I've already shared my frustrations with 'Honey Kid' products in my previous reviews, and let me tell you, it's not just one or two issues - it's a pattern.
The 0+ wash gel caused redness and itchiness in my newborn, which was a nightmare to deal with.The 2-in-1 bath gel left unsightly marks on my baby's sensitive skin, which was really frustrating.The 0+ soap dried out my adult hands, which was a total bummer.I never thought I'd be scrutinizing the ingredients of baby products, but it seems I should have. The stuff they put in these things is pretty concerning. I bought a whole collection of 'Honey Kid' products when I was pregnant, and now I'm writing reviews to warn other moms to check the ingredients.
I've already written about the 3+. To give you an idea, my baby's head wasn't even washed with this stuff after the previous experience. I immediately started checking the ingredients.
water;
sodium lauryl sulfate;
cocamidopropyl betaine;
decyl glucoside;
coco-glucoside (and) glyceryl oleate;
sodium chloride;
cocoamphoacetate sodium;
dilauryl sulfosuccinate;
d-pantol (vitamin B5);
retinyl palmitate (vitamin A);
tocopherol acetate (vitamin E);
calendula officinalis flower extract;
lavandula angustifolia flower extract;
rosa officinalis flower extract;
parfum;
disodium EDTA;
citric acid;
benzyl alcohol;
methiazolinone;
methyloxazolidinone.
I'm calling out to the manufacturers again. What's the point of sodium lauryl sulfate, disodium EDTA, methiazolinone, and methyloxazolidinone in a baby product? I wouldn't use these ingredients on my hair, so how can they be safe for a baby?
The formula for Honey Kid shampoo is identical to their body wash and soap. And that's not a good thing.
With this formula, I wouldn't expect any moisturizing or smoothing benefits. And forget about strengthening your hair! This shampoo contains oils, cocoa, proteins, keratin, and chamomile - but for kids, it's got methyisothiazolinone. In some countries, this stuff is banned, but here it's allowed. And then we use it on our kids without knowing what we're doing. The problem is with the low-quality products from Honey Kid. I'm surprised the authors still recommend it, given all the harsh chemicals. You could literally overdose on this stuff!
After trying other Honey Kid products, I used this shampoo to clean dishes, occasionally the sink, door handles, and balcony. But putting it on my kid's hair? NO WAY!
And after a couple of months, a thick residue formed at the bottom of the shampoo bottle. Normal? I don't think so!
Why would they design a product that's not suitable for kids? I wouldn't even buy this for a 3-year-old. It's just not worth the risk.
I'm glad I'm done with the Honey Kid brand. This is my final review. I didn't expect the manufacturer to be so careless about kids' health. Even for adults, there are more eco-friendly options available. This is a major disappointment.
I don't want to write about this chemistry anymore. NO POSITIVES! But here are the negatives:
sulfates and other allergenic ingredients in the formula;can dry out your hair;definitely not suitable for kids.Unfortunately, I bought the entire Honey Kid collection in one day:
I used the gel cleanser for a few days and noticed some discoloration on my kid's skin.The bathing gel left my kid's skin feeling rough and flaky.And don't even get me started on the moisturizing soap - it dried out my kid's skin and left them scratching.I'm really disappointed with the 'Honey Kid' shampoo for kids 3+. My rating? A solid 1 out of 5.
Thanks for listening, folks!
