A Hand Mask That's a Total Game-Changer for Dry Hands - Holly Polly Paraffin Masks Deliver
Hello everyone!
I'm a bit of a skincare fanatic, and I take care of my hands just as regularly as my face. But I've only recently started trying out hand creams, and I'm so glad I did.
So, I got these advent calendar thingies, and I thought it was time to give my hands some extra TLC.
Now, let's talk about the Holly Polly hand mask with paraffin, moisturizing, and nourishing goodness.
This intensely moisturizing and nourishing hand mask with paraffin is a great addition to your at-home spa routine. It'll keep your hands looking and feeling their best, and your skin, nail plate, and cuticles will be soft, healthy, and well-groomed.
Product info:
Where to buy: I picked up these hand creams in the advent calendar from Royal Samples, but you can also find them on WB, Ozon, ZYA, Letual, and more.
Price: 150-290 rubles.
Volume: 12 ml.
Manufacturer: Russia.
Ingredients:
sesame oil olive oil coconut oil panthenol paraffin
Active ingredients:
The sesame and olive oil combo in this hand mask is a total winner - it's super soothing and nourishing, leaving your skin feeling smooth and elastic.
The coconut oil in this mask is a total rockstar - it moisturizes, tones, and helps get rid of those pesky rough patches. And the panthenol? It's a total healer and restorer.
And then there's the paraffin - it's like a magic shield for your skin, creating a protective barrier that promotes blood flow and helps remove toxins.
Packaging.
The gloves come in a super cute pink and grey pouch that I'm obsessed with. On the front, there's a hand print and the word 'Hand', which is just the coolest.
On the front bottom of the pouch, you'll find a list of the hand mask's benefits:
Moisturizing and nourishing.
On the back of the packaging, you'll find a full rundown of how to use the hand mask, along with some info about the manufacturer.
There's even a pictorial guide for those who don't want to read the instructions - how cool is that?
The opening tabs are located at the top of the pouch, and the pouch opens easily - although my opener got a bit wonky, fortunately the gloves were safe.
Inside the pouch, the gloves are folded multiple times, and when I unfolded them, I was surprised by their large size - they seemed enormous to me, and I thought my hands would get lost in them.
For securing the gloves on your wrist, there are adhesive strips that stick well and securely to your skin.
In the palm and finger areas, you can see the serum absorption - it's like a mini-paraffin treatment for your dry hands.
The scent from the mask is pleasant and cosmetic - it's not overpowering during the application process, but your hands will smell nice afterwards.
Application:
Wash your hands well, and then put on the gloves without applying any additional products. Press them to your skin, and leave them on for 25-45 minutes or overnight.
My hand skin at the time of applying the gloves was a mess - dry and flaky, with some rough patches. I've got a problem with my skin in the cold weather, and it dries out easily. But I decided to give my hands a spa treatment and applied the gloves, as my hands were freezing after walking in minus 15 without gloves.
The gloves separate easily from each other by perforation and don't tear apart - that's a big plus in my book.
Inside, there's a mesh fabric that's soft and pleasant to the skin - it's like a gentle hug for your hands.
When putting them on, you need to be gentle, as the material is prone to tearing. I had a tear in the area where you're supposed to secure them, but it's not a big deal.
I slipped on the gloves easily, but I needed help to secure them. If you're on your own, you can use office clips to keep them in place.
The experience of using them is super comfortable - no cooling or warming effects, which I appreciate, as I'm not a fan of thermic effects in skincare products.
After 20 minutes, my hands were ready to be removed, and the gloves had soaked up the serum nicely. However, there was still enough serum left for another application - just be gentle when removing the gloves so you don't dry out the serum.
Right after removing the mask, there was still some serum left on my hands, so I massaged them to help it absorb faster. It felt like I was applying a Korean cream - if you've tried it, you know what I mean.
Putting on this hand mask felt like a mini-paraffin treatment for my dry hands - it was like a little slice of heaven.
It instantly got rid of the dryness and discomfort – I could feel the difference the moment I put it on.
After it soaked in, my skin looked and felt completely transformed. It was soft, hydrated, and smooth. The fine lines and wrinkles plumped up with moisture, and my hands looked noticeably younger.
After
Soothing and nourishing effect
Yeah, it really does soften and nourish your skin. It feels so nice to have hands that are noticeably softer.
Smoothness and elasticity
Same here – my skin got this amazing smoothness, and the fine lines and wrinkles relaxed, making my hands look a lot younger.
Hydration and toning
This mask really does hydrate your skin!
Removing rough patches
Those rough patches get significantly smoother – it's a temporary effect, but it lasts longer than using a regular hand cream.
Heals and restores
I've got to say, when I applied it, I didn't have any cuts or scrapes on my hands.
The Hooly Polly hand mask was a total game-changer for me. It moisturizes, softens, and leaves my skin feeling smoother and more youthful. With my problematic hands, the effect was seriously impressive – they looked even younger, although if you saw just my hands, you'd think I'm 10-15 years older! The moisturizing effect lasted longer than the first wash, which is rare. I'm completely satisfied with this mask and give it a well-deserved 5 stars!
The pros:
Moisturizes the skin;
Softens;
Eliminates dryness;
Smoothes out fine lines;
Improves appearance;
Leaves skin feeling smoother;
Has a pleasant scent;
The hand mask isn't too large;
The application process is enjoyable.
I didn't find any cons.
Thanks for reading.
