I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I'm still not impressed. The temporary relief it provides is nice, but it's not enough to make me want to keep using it. The balm feels weird and unpleasant on my lips, and the peppermint flavor is nice, but it's not strong enough. I'm really disappointed, as I was hoping for a game-changer in lip care.
Specifications
Hello everyone! Before buying this Himani boro plus moisturizing balm, I did my due diligence and checked out the reviews here. If most reviews are positive, it usually means the product is decent. Of course, individual tolerance and taste are a given, and that's okay. But, unfortunately, after using the product, I became part of the small percentage of unhappy customers who wouldn't recommend it to others.
The full name is Himani boro plus, a moisturizing balm for dry and chapped lips with a peppermint flavor.
About Himani Boro Plus
Himani boro plus is a moisturizing balm for lips developed by Himani Ayurveda and made in India. The balm contains natural ingredients like honey, aloe vera, turmeric, and borax powder, which nourish and moisturize the skin of the lips, promote healing, and protect against dryness and cracks.
The Indian manufacturer promises a great composition of the product. They claim to provide various benefits for delicate lip skin and seriously aim to heal and protect our smile from cracks and flakiness. But, they fail to mention that this 'amazing' effect will only last 15 minutes. That's it. I apply the product to clean and dry lips. And, voila, after a few minutes, they look almost the same as before. At best, there's a slight shine and a sweet peppermint scent, accompanied by a weird film on my lips. Nothing cumulative or positive happens.
My Experience
I applied the balm to my lips and waited for the promised effects. Unfortunately, the results were underwhelming. The balm provided a temporary shine and a pleasant peppermint scent, but that's about it.I didn't notice any significant improvement in the dryness or chapping of my lips. What's also disappointing is the overpriced product. I had to pay around 200 rubles for this small 10ml balm without any discounts. In my experience, there have been more budget-friendly and effective products available in local stores. I wanted something new and pretty, though, and this balm caught my eye with its sleek tube and special applicator tip. It dispenses a small amount of balm, which you can then apply to your lips using the same tip. That's the one aspect of the product that I liked.
The nozzle on Himani boro plus has an interesting texture. It's more dense, has some grip to it, and feels really nice on my lips without any discomfort. Plus, the lid has a longer, pointed spike that prevents the balm from getting stuck and pushes it back into the tube. It's a pretty smooth application process, but it only works well on clean lips. If there's any lipstick or gloss on there, the nozzle will get all stained. Considering the mediocre performance of Himani boro plus with its peppermint flavor, the small size, and the high price tag, I wouldn't exactly recommend it. However, I do have to give credit where it's due - it hasn't caused any harm. It's a pretty pointless product.
