Editor's Summary
I recently tried Grossberg Lager with some friends to see how this light beer would stack up. The unique green plastic bottle with transparent walls caught my eye, and the price was a reasonable 5.49 Belarusian rubles, or around 1.9 euros or 149 Russian rubles. We ended up getting a 2-liter bottle, perfect for a party. The alcohol content is 4.7%, which is not too shabby for a light beer. I was also impressed with the build quality of the bottle, which felt solid in my hands. Overall, Grossberg Lager is a decent choice for those who want to enjoy a beer without feeling too buzzed.
Specifications
My friends and I recently picked up a few bottles of Grossberg Lager to give it a try. I was curious to see how this light beer would stack up.
Where I bought it - Euro Opt store.
Price - 5.49 Belarusian rubles, which is approximately 1.9 euros or 149 Russian rubles.
Volume - 2 liters.
Alcohol content - 4.7%.
Grossberg Lager comes in a green plastic bottle. The transparent walls let you see the beer itself, which is, indeed, light.
I'm not sure if they have other volume options, but we got a few bigger bottles for a party.
The label around the bottle is also green, with cream and white drawings and text. It looks pretty premium.
On one side, there's the name and logo of the brand in big, white letters.
Manufacturer - AO AB InBev Efes, Russia.
Ingredients:
Water, malted barley, barley, hops.
The cap comes off easily, initially secured by a ring from the opening.
Smell is pleasant, light, and malty, with no noticeable spirit notes.
Color is dark yellow and transparent.
No sediment or cloudiness is noticeable.
Carbonation is average.
As soon as you pour it into a glass, a fluffy but loose foam appears, but it quickly dissipates in about a minute.
In terms of taste, there's no bitterness at all. It's a very light drink, more like a beer drink than a proper beer. The malt flavor is present but almost undetectable. There's something herbal in the background, and a slight hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste, but it's not intense.
The alcohol is completely unnoticeable.
I wouldn't say it's the best beer I've ever had, but it's okay for a casual drink every now and then.
