Update on Our Collective Appeal to the Governor's Mobile Reception Desk: A Follow-Up

summarizeEditor's Summary

We just got an update on our collective appeal to the Governor's mobile reception desk, and I'm stoked to share the good news. After submitting our application back in September, we finally heard back from the Ministry of Fuel and Energy Complex and Housing and Communal Services of the Krasnodar Krai. They told us that this is a local self-government issue, and our rural settlement's administration has already decided to fix a part of the worn-out water supply system. That's a huge relief, and I'm confident that this is just the beginning of some positive changes in our community.

Update on Our Collective Appeal to the Governor's Mobile Reception Desk: A Follow-Up
Hello everyone!
I wanted to give you a quick update on our collective appeal to the Governor's mobile reception desk. If you remember, back in September, I shared our story about submitting an application regarding the water supply issue in our village. I said I'd keep you posted on what happened next.
Well, the Governor's administration called me the very next day to chat about a few minor details. Then, in early October, I got a response from the Ministry of Fuel and Energy Complex and Housing and Communal Services of the Krasnodar Krai. They told me I needed to keep the interested parties informed, since it's a collective appeal. This ministry handles water supply projects in populated areas.
The letter said that, basically, this is a local self-government issue, and our rural settlement's administration has already decided to fix a part of the worn-out pipes (19.4 km) as part of a regional project. They've even signed a contract for project documentation at the local budget's expense, with the expertise to be done by the end of 2025. Although the district name was listed differently, we won't sweat the small stuff.
We thought that was the end of it.
But, out of the blue, I got another letter from the same ministry a few days ago (4.5 months after submitting our application). The letter was basically a repeat of the previous one, but with the correct district name this time.
The ministry told us that, in addition to the previous info, they got a positive review on the project for doing a major repair in the specified volume on November 12, 2025. And, on November 24, the works were included in the order of the Ministry for getting subsidies from the Krasnodar Krai budget for co-financing expenses for materials of municipal formations for water supply, especially for 2026-2027.
No word on the allocated funds, though. Progress is being made, but it's slow.
And, to make matters worse, another water tower collapsed. The frequency of pipe bursts this winter has gone up, and we often go without water for several hours while they fix the issue. And this isn't even summer! So, we can expect more extreme situations ahead. Meanwhile, many people are buying water filters for their heating systems and pumps to boost water pressure. I'll be sharing more about that soon.
Our take on the responses to our appeal? More positive than negative. We're being kept in the loop, which is great. However, I think our rural settlement's administration should be providing more public updates on the reconstruction progress. We'd like to see faster action, especially with the new problems arising. I'm particularly concerned about the upcoming spring and summer. We'd also like to know more about the replacement of the water tower. Many people understand that this is a long process involving finding funds, technical, economic, and contractual agreements. But we want to live in somewhat normal conditions, now. And, who knows, maybe knowing the future prospects might influence our planning, including household size or vacation plans.
I'd like to wish our administration more determination in solving our problems.
What We Want to See Happen Next
More public updates on the reconstruction progress from our rural settlement's administration. Faster action on the water supply issue, especially with the new problems arising. Clear information about the replacement of the water tower. Transparency on the allocated funds for the project.
We're grateful for the progress made so far, but we need to see more concrete actions from our administration. We want to live in a village with a reliable water supply, and we're willing to work together to make that happen.
Let's keep pushing for change and holding our administration accountable for their actions.
Thanks for reading, and I'll be back with more updates soon!
