A Steal of a Deal: My Experience with Golden Delicious and What I Got for 121,000 RUB
Hello everyone! I've been a loyal customer of Golden Delicious for a while now, and I've lost count of how many items I've ordered from them. To be honest, I'm guessing it's around 500,000 rubles, since one order was over 121,000 rubles.
Today I want to share my experience with ordering in the Golden Delicious app and show you what I've bought with that kind of money.
The Golden Delicious app is super easy to use and navigate. I love how it's organized with tabs like search, favorites, main page, profile, and cart.
One of my favorite features is the favorites tab. I save all the items I want to buy and my regular purchases there.
I regularly check their prices and track them so I can buy at the moment when certain promotions and discounts are active.
In the cart you can also see promo codes/discounts that you can participate in. Usually, it's a 10/15/20% discount from the order value.
Unfortunately, I've never received any gifts with my order in my life. Whether I ordered for 5,000 or 35,000 rubles, it didn't matter. It's really disappointing. I live in St. Petersburg, and I'm not sure where it's coming from, but they could at least throw in a freebie, like a sample of some cream (delivery costs a pretty penny here!). I know that girls from Moscow often get free samples with their orders.
The only exception is the ZYA gift promo code, but that's a different story altogether (you enter it yourself in the promo code section, and there's no real surprise there). Plus, you have to choose yourself - either enter the promo code as an additional discount or the gift promo. I only used the gift promo when the additional discount wasn't applicable to certain products.
On a few occasions, I received these gift sets. I can say that the product range is quite decent.
Free shipping starts at 1500 rubles, but in some regions, it's 3000 rubles. They deliver via 5Rost (which is currently unavailable), SDEK, Russian Post, and Yandex Delivery.
Most of the time, the boxes arrive intact, but I've had some instances where they're damaged:
I've noticed that the boxes have become more fragile over time and aren't as sturdy as they used to be. I've had issues with the box lids popping out and the cardboard getting damaged. It seems like they're cutting costs on the packaging...
The list included some basics: shampoos and conditioners, hair spray, laundry detergent, and various skincare products.
I've got to say, the real highlight of my recent shopping spree was discovering the amazing perfumes from HFC - their Devil's Intrigue scent and the Travel Kit (I already wrote a review about it) have become my go-to favorites.
My mom's birthday was coming up, and I decided to get her a special gift - a full-sized bottle of Maison Francis Kurkdjian BACCARAT ROUGE 540 perfume.
I'm seriously impressed with the quality of all the products! Everything is original, and the packaging is presentable and flawless.
After wrapping up my experience, I'd say:
The Golden Delicious app is super user-friendly;They often run promotions and discounts;Only authentic and verified products are sold; You can save a lot, but you need to keep an eye on prices;Their product range is massive, from cosmetics to electronics; They even have products marked 18+;Shipping is super fast.Minus points:
They rarely include free samples or gifts; Not all popular brands are represented; You can't track your order (all you get is information on its collection, and then it just says 'in transit').I'm really happy with the Golden Delicious app. Is it just marketing (why's it so popular)? Maybe, but you can snag amazing cosmetics that aren't available elsewhere.
From me, 5 out of 5. I highly recommend.
