My Glittery Clutch is a Showstopper - But It's Not for Everyone
I've never been one for sparkly accessories, except for the clip-on earrings I got as a gift, which, let's be real, are basically just cheap imitations. I've never owned a sparkly top, a sparkly dress, or a sparkly handbag, but somehow, I ended up with this glittering lip gloss and a sparkly body lotion that make me look like I'm trying to make up for lost time.
Meet my new clutch, the Alevsavbalinavg. And don't even get me started. This clutch is so absurdly sparkly that it's actually kind of cool. The sparkle is so intense that even when I got it as a gift, it was shining like a beacon in the dark, like a headlight on a deer's forehead.
I've been staring at this clutch for hours: it sparkles differently every time, depending on the lighting. You can see warm highlights, but initially, it's just a cold, icy shine.
The 1-meter-long metal chain on this clutch is definitely going to chafe if I wear it on my bare shoulder too often, and the metal gets hot, so it's not exactly a summer-friendly accessory. I tried it over my winter coat, and it's kinda awkward: it keeps slipping off when I put it on one side.
However, we do end up piling on the layers in the winter. The accessory bounces around near my armpits, but it's tolerable. If you do decide to wear it out on the streets, you'll need to dress the part, and I've long since given up on fur. I think it might 'work' with a faux fur jacket that's not too natural-looking (like a pale pink or blue-gray one), but you'll need to be careful with the rest of your outfit so you don't end up looking like a highway patrol officer.
It would be way more convenient if the chain was adjustable, but then you'd need some sort of metal clasp that wouldn't scratch your clothes.
I've got to say, I was a bit skeptical about the chain strap. Finding a material that wouldn't make it look tacky with all these studs is a miracle. I love the way the chain links are made. They're solid and match the bag perfectly, so it doesn't look like it's straight out of a high school prom in the early 2000s.
When you mess with it intentionally, the chain 'rides' along the entire length without a stopper, but it doesn't affect the opening and closing. The chain folds up completely inside the bag (at the expense of space for other contents), so the back of the bag looks even more cute and tidy.
The magnetic snap closes perfectly. Throughout the evening, you can be confident that nothing will fall out of the Alevsavbalinavg bag.
I'm loving the execution of the clasps, and overall, the bag looks fine at all the bends.
I can smell it. It's even surprising, given the price of around 1700 (I scoured the marketplace, knowing where the seller was from, to find the name and type of the clasp). Reviewers are also confused about the presence of a strong chemical smell, which, however, dissipates. They call it the only drawback of the item. I agree. I don't see any other minuses (it's hard to notice anything when looking at the bag without a welding mask). Generally, the smell is expected if you read the product card, which mentions the lining material - burlap.
This is why it's heavy. Even without contents, the bag feels substantial on the shoulder, although, given its dimensions, it can't be heavier than 300g. And the dimensions won't allow you to fit half a house in it, so enjoy!
In the meantime, the studs are applied with precision. Nothing has fallen off, and in person, it doesn't look like a cheap knockoff.
The dimensions of the item: the length and width are enough to fit an Android, but not the latest iPhone. The thickness is such that you can fit either an Android charger, or the Android itself.
When you open the box, you'll find a little bit of makeup (this shimmery lip balm, a pencil, and eyeliner). There's still room for a small key or a few cards.
The evening clutch needs some careful color and fabric matching with your outfit. And, although reviews on the marketplace are full of photos with red satin, I think it's a bad idea to wear a super bright or print-heavy dress with it. That would just be too much.
I'd avoid these colors and textures altogether:
for me, I prefer neutral, not too bold color schemes, a more subdued dark tone: charcoal grey, inky black, or smoky black on smooth or velvet fabric, and if you want to go for beige or peach, opt for a lacy, airy look.
For me, this is a great surprise (part of a spontaneous gift), and I think it'll work well with my style. I'm grateful for the unexpected joy.
Thanks for reading.
