My son finally reads a whole book, and it's a wild ride!

summarizeEditor's Summary

As a book-loving family, we've been on a mission to get our kids to develop a love for reading. My 9-year-old son was a tough nut to crack, but this book finally did the trick. With its engaging storyline and beautiful illustrations, it's a total game-changer for kids who struggle to get into reading. I was a bit skeptical about the price, but it's worth every penny - the book's quality is top-notch, and the hardcover is sturdy enough to withstand repeated readings. My son devoured it in a week, and I'm loving seeing him develop a passion for reading.

Hey everyone!
We're a book-loving family, and I'm not just saying that - we're obsessed! But what I've noticed is that my kids have different interests. My older one (9 years old) would rather look at pictures or read with me than actually read the words. We've watched Harry Potter like 100 times, but he's only read the first part and half of the second. Minecraft, on the other hand, is a different story - he's read the comic book once. I was starting to worry that I'd never get him to develop a love for reading.
I'm a determined person who doesn't give up easily, though. Reading is not only great for general development, but it also helps with spelling and grammar. So, I decided to take a chance and buy something unique to pique his interest, even if it was a long shot.
And yes, books have gotten pricier lately, so I was looking for something special to catch his eye. I stumbled upon a great edition at a surprisingly affordable price on Ozon. At first, I thought it might be an e-book because 255 rubles for a book seemed too good to be true.
But then I checked the reviews, and people were showing off their printed copies with vibrant illustrations. I thought, 'Why not? It's a great price, and it's the New Year, after all.' Even if my son doesn't end up reading it, maybe my daughter will. And the beautiful illustrations will at least grab his attention.
So, I went ahead and bought "The Story of Prince Remy, Remy the Horse, and Princess Miry" by Pierre Gripari without hesitation, and I'm glad I took the chance.
CoverPrice, appearance, and description
When I purchased the book, the price of "The Story of Prince Remy, Remy the Horse, and Princess Miry" on Ozon was a bit higher at 548 rubles.
I picked up this book at the end of last year for half the price during a sale, which was a great value for money.
The Wildberries edition is sold for 633 rubles with the Wildberries wallet.
The book arrived quickly, and I was stoked to receive a sturdy package without any creases, carefully wrapped and heavy!
The cover is hard, colorful, embossed, and feels great to the touch.
CoverPages are printed on high-quality mellowed paper, with 158 sheets. The illustrations are amazing – stylish, bright, and well-balanced colors that don't hurt the eyes!
Published by OOO 'Labyrinth Press' in the Netherlands.

My Kid's Take on the Book
My kid absolutely loved this book by Pierre Gripari, mainly because it's got loads of 'mystique' in it - that's magic, for those who don't know (I'm still learning too!).
The most interesting characters to him were:
The dragon Taрабистракум (yeah, that's the actual name);
Illustrations The white rat from the Great Library;
Illustrations The owner of the enchanted tavern 'The Lost Children';
Illustrations These characters made the most epic moments in the book. The chapter on the Kingdom of Kings also really caught his attention.
Illustrations His favorite characters are Remi the horse and his mom, the White Mare.
Illustrations Things He Didn't Enjoy:
What happened to the dwarf.
Illustrations He said he wants to read something similar again.
And that's a wrap, folks!
IllustrationsMy Takeaways
I flipped through the book 'The Story of Prince Remy, Remy the Cat, and Princess Mirabelle' in a rush, but I can still share my emotions.
Let's be real, holding and browsing through a book like this is a total delight!
Check out how stylishly and beautifully it's put together!
IllustrationsThe illustrations are simply stunning!
IllustrationsBut the content itself was a pleasant surprise. I was stoked to see not one, but two Russian fairy tales included in the book. That's a definite plus!
Illustrations
IllustrationsThe storytelling is engaging, and it's got me hooked – I want to keep reading!
IllustrationsOverall, my impressions of 'The Story of Prince Remy, Remy the Cat, and Princess Mirabelle' are overwhelmingly positive.
Although, I would've liked a different ending.
The Verdict
Of course, you should grab this edition.
