I'll Be Honest, I Used to Hate Styling My Hair - Until I Found This Game-Changer!

Having beautiful hair is a key component of a perfect look. Especially when your hair's been through the ringer with all the coloring, just washing and drying it can make it look pretty lackluster. That's where styling tools come in – like cold curlers, hot tools with a blow dryer and brush, or the popular straightening irons that started gaining traction a few years ago.

Of course, when you see videos of girls effortlessly curling their hair with a styling wand, you can't help but want to get one to achieve salon-quality styling every day. I was no exception – I've always dreamed of using one to create voluminous updos and curly hairstyles. And it looks like last year's good behavior paid off, because my dream finally came true.

I recently got my hands on the GA.MA uniQ Styler, a versatile styling tool that comes in two configurations: the LE Aura with four attachments and the LE Vibrance with eight attachments. I opted for the latter, which includes attachments for curls, drying, and volume, as well as a brush attachment that I use daily to add extra volume and tuck stray hairs away from my face.

Let's take a closer look at the attachments and I'll tell you which one is for what.

The styling wand itself weighs just 470g and comes with a long, 1.8m cord that rotates 360 degrees.The drying attachment – a hair dryer – is super powerful and quickly dries long hair on medium temperature and speed settings. The attachment clicks on securely using a rotating mechanism and is easy to remove – just connect the little arrow on the device.The 60mm oval brush is massive, but it's actually super versatile for both drying and adding volume to the roots and length. I use this brush to create volume at the roots, and it works beautifully with Paul Rivera Suit Up – an extra-hold styling cream.The 32mm round brush is great for styling the hairline or adding volume to the roots, but it's a bit tricky to use for curling hair. I'd recommend using other brushes for that.The curling brushes with a conical effect are one of my favorites – they use a powerful air flow to curl the hair. The 32mm diameter is perfect for creating a Hollywood-inspired, voluminous look. I use these brushes for almost every style to add volume throughout the length of my hair.The flat comb allows you to dry and smooth your hair at the same time, taming flyaways and adding extra shine.The straightening attachment is a bit awkward to use, as it doesn't open or close – you just have to push your hair through it.The diffuser is perfect for those with their natural curls and for those who wash and dry their hair using the curl method.I also love the cute design in a grey-pink color scheme and the extended functionality – e.g., there's a self-cleaning filter function.

The only downside I found is the lack of a dedicated cold air mode. So, there is cold air, but you have to hold the button down to keep it blowing. As soon as you let go, it goes back to hot air, even on the lowest setting. No cold mode as such.

There are three temperature modes, and they're all pretty hot – 100°C, 160°C, and 180°C.

I'll admit, I never thought I'd be into styling my hair after every wash, but this little helper makes it a breeze! I've tried using it with a strong styling product and well-prepped hair, but I can only get a loose, wavy look. Even with a lot of effort, I just can't seem to get a tight curl. But to be honest, I love the look of loose waves.
