I'm really pleased with how it turned out... This shrub was so overgrown. I removed all the old and dry branches. Left only the young ones. The branches that are lying on the bottom of the bush are all the leftovers after pruning. I've taken most of them away already. Fingers crossed it'll surprise me with its blooming next summer.

Maintaining the secateur:

After every use, make sure to wipe it clean of sap and dirt. Otherwise, the blades might get damaged, like they did on my old one. Store it in a dry place and don't leave it outside in the cold for too long. I once left a secateur near a greenhouse... Found it in the spring, and it was ruined. For thick branches, use a more powerful tool. You can end up applying too much pressure, which not only dulls the blades but also makes the spring fly out.
