Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my thoughts on my experience at the Formula driving school in Tumen. I picked this school based on reviews and its location - the closer to home, the better. They've got tons of branches all over the city, which is a huge plus. The classrooms are cozy and comfortable, with a water cooler and even snacks and treats. The cost for a mechanic's license starts at 15,900 rubles, and I paid 27,500 rubles for the standard package on a Renault Sandero. This included a theory course and 56 hours of practical training. The car itself is a good one, but my instructor wasn't exactly the most fastidious person, so the interior was always a bit dusty and messy - no big deal for me, though. My instructor was great, though - super competent and never yelled at me, even when I messed up. The theory teacher was really engaging and made the material fun to learn. I enjoyed the classes, and I even aced the theory part on the first try. But the driving exam was a different story - I was really nervous and made a bunch of mistakes, which I was told is normal since the school makes the in-house exams tougher to prepare you for the real thing. In the end, I passed the GIBDD exam on the first try!
The only downside was the super inconvenient system for booking practical lessons - it's a real pain to get a spot since there are so many students. My training took around six months, with two months off for a vacation. I'd definitely recommend this school, especially if you're looking for a good value for money. The build quality of the school's facilities is great, and the customer support could be improved, but I'm really happy with my experience.
