Editor's Summary
I signed up for the Standard package at Formula driving school in Tumen, but things didn't go as planned. The scheduling was all over the place - sometimes I'd show up and there'd be no group, other times the instructor wouldn't show up and I'd have to reschedule. Even after completing the course, I faced a long wait for the exams, which took over two and a half months to schedule. It's a shame, because the theory classes were actually pretty okay, and the instructors were decent. But the waiting game started right from the beginning, and it was a real frustration. If you're considering Formula driving school, I'd say think twice.
Specifications
I'll be honest, my experience at Formula driving school in Tumen was a total letdown. I signed up on January 25, 2022, and paid the full amount for the Standard package, thinking I'd be on the road to getting my license in no time. But boy, was I wrong. The first red flag was the inconsistent scheduling. Sometimes the group wouldn't form, and I'd be told to just hang around. Other times, the instructor wouldn't show up, and I'd have to reschedule the lesson - not just once, mind you. It was a real rollercoaster. I switched instructors after three lessons, and things did get a bit better. But that was short-lived. Once I finished the course, the real waiting began. I was itching to take the exams! The manager kept telling me it wasn't her problem and kept pushing back the dates. I took the internal exams in May and passed on the first try, but then they spent a month processing the documents. I passed the theory test on June 2, and the driving test was scheduled for July 7 - only after I started calling the manager myself. Otherwise, I wouldn't have made it. So, in essence, after the course, you'll be waiting for the exam for 2.5 months. By that time, you'll have forgotten everything! How are you supposed to take the exam if you don't have any driving experience? They lure you in on their website with promises that you'll have your license in 3-4 months. Don't believe them - it'll take at least six months if you pass everything on the first try! I filed a complaint about the outrageous organization of the learning process to the head of the educational department. He promised to look into it, but still, no response. And let's not forget the website says that each package includes a field trip to learn how to assemble a car. There was none of that! No one showed me anything or planned to. More lies!
