Hello everyone reading my blog!
I've got to say, you can find just about anything at Fix Price, including these motivational pens. They're the simplest kind of pens, but they do motivate you to do something. My kid was adamant I get them, so I caved and bought them:
Fix Price's 'For Important Tasks' PensPrice - 62 rublesQuantity for this price - 10 piecesI was surprised to find out they're not branded as Hupper Dupper or Kid`s Fantasy, but as some unknown Ningbo Home-Dollar. But I'm sure you'll only find this Chinese company in Fix Price.
Fix Price's 'For Important Tasks' PensAlongside ours on the shelf were identical pens in terms of format, but with different packaging designs: some with a multiplication table, some in Minecraft style, 'for the true empress' and just in various stylish designs. Our motivational pen is one of the most interesting-looking ones.
Fix Price's 'For Important Tasks' PensI like that they're not all the same. The colors are different and there are only two repeats of each design. So, in total, there are ten of them.
Fix Price's 'For Important Tasks' PensWhen I say 'colors,' I'm not talking about the fact that they're colorful. They're basic black and graphite pens, and the color of the casing doesn't affect anything.
Except for personal taste and the type of motivation. Because these pens are motivational:

My favorite use for these is DRAWING MONEY

There's also the option to use them for twirling around in your hand, just for show. Each person will find their own use for them.
Naturally, this is all just joking around. Honestly, I don't plan on actually drawing money. Unless it's just for the sake of drawing, without any chance of getting in trouble. They do draw fairly well, but they're not good enough for professionals. Only for people who aren't too picky about pencil quality.

More often than not, these pencils are used by kids for just drawing school stuff - underlining words, drawing triangles. They're decent for this kind of thing.
The pencil hardness is listed as B (soft). I wouldn't say that. I'm no artist, but I've gone through my fair share of graphite pencils, and these ones are definitely not soft. Sometimes, the graphite even has scratchy parts.

The initial sharpening quality is terrible. They're not very sharp, and you don't get that satisfaction of using a freshly sharpened pencil. Plus, they're unevenly sharpened - each one would dig into the wood on one side.

On the other hand, the other side is over-sharpened:

Of course, this can be fixed with re-sharpening, but it's still a disappointment. The wood and its finish look pretty mediocre when you take a closer look. But what can you expect from pencils that cost 6 rubles and 20 kopeks each?
Fix Price Pencils for Important Tasks
I've been using these pencils for a week now, and I have to say, the price is super budget-friendly.
The positive vibe and fun sayings on the pencils are a definite plus.
The build quality, on the other hand, is a bit of a letdown. They're not very durable, and the wood feels flimsy.
I've noticed that the pencils can scratch the paper, which is a bit of a problem.
The initial sharpness is pretty poor, and the graphite can be scratchy at times.
Overall, they're okay, but not more than that. The idea itself is pretty cool, and the sayings are clever. However, the execution could be better. Still, they're good enough for kids to take to school.
