Fix-it-up: World Tour is a Fun and Relaxing Ride

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've finally had a chance to dive into the latest installment of the Fix-it-up series, and I'm stoked to share my thoughts on it. Fix-it-up: World Tour takes a step back in time to the 80s, with a retro vibe and fun music that really gets you in the mood. The game follows Kate's parents as they travel the world, with levels set in various locations. Each level has a different number of objectives, and there are 45 levels in total. The first three levels are training levels, with increasing difficulty as you progress. I'm a big fan of the Fix-it-up series, and World Tour is no exception. I'd definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves business simulations or car games. The gameplay is fresh, the graphics are colorful, and the sense of humor is spot on.

Fix-it-up: World Tour is a Fun and Relaxing Ride
I've finally had a chance to dive into the latest installment of the Fix-it-up series, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on it. If you're new to the series, I'd recommend checking out my reviews for the first two games: Fix-it-up: Kate's Adventure and Fix-it-up 2: World Tour.
The first game focused on Kate helping her dad in the shop and deciding to expand the business. The second game took her on a global adventure, working in different countries. This third installment takes a step back in time to the 80s, with a retro vibe and fun music that really gets you in the mood.
The game follows Kate's parents as they travel the world, with levels set in various locations. Each level has a different number of objectives, and there are 45 levels in total. The first three levels are training levels, with helpful hints to get you started and ease you into the gameplay.
If you've played the previous games, you'll feel right at home with the familiar gameplay. The interface has been tweaked to be more intuitive and user-friendly, making it easier to navigate and manage your shop.
On the screen, you'll see a timer, indicating how much time you have left for each level. You'll also see information about your workers and parts, which you can use to buy or sell vehicles, as well as purchase parts and upgrades.
New vehicles will arrive at the shop, and you'll need to decide whether to buy or reject them. Most of the vehicles will be in poor condition, so you'll need to repair, paint, or upgrade them before selling. You can also leave them in the parking lot to earn some extra cash.
The objectives vary from level to level, sometimes focusing on building up your shop, sometimes on making money or collecting resources. To improve your shop or buy resources, you'll need to earn as much money as possible by selling vehicles. However, you'll also need to spend money on parts and upgrades to keep your shop running smoothly.
For renting, it's best to keep only the most profitable vehicles. Unfortunately, the game doesn't make it clear how much each vehicle earns, so you'll need to experiment to find the most profitable ones. You can calculate the rental income by leaving only one working vehicle on the lot.
There are also additional ways to earn money, such as taxi or police contracts, where you'll need to transport their vehicles for specific tasks.
In general, the gameplay is similar to the previous games, with the goal of achieving objectives by buying and selling vehicles.
I found this part of the game to be easier than the previous two. I was able to complete most levels without needing to replay them for gold. The gold is awarded if you complete the level within the time limit. You can see a star on the timer, which turns from gold to silver and bronze depending on your performance.
I didn't encounter any major difficulties while playing, and the game was quite relaxing and enjoyable. The storyline is engaging, and I think both men and women, as well as players of various ages, will find it entertaining.
The game's graphics and sound effects are also noteworthy. The retro aesthetic is well-executed, and the music is catchy and fun. The sound effects are clear and easy to understand, making it easy to navigate the game.
Overall, I would highly recommend Fix-it-up: World Tour to fans of the series and to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable game. The game's ease of play, engaging storyline, and fun gameplay make it a great choice for players of all ages and skill levels.
However, I do have a few minor complaints. The game could benefit from more detailed instructions on how to play, especially for new players. Additionally, the game's difficulty level could be more varied, with more challenging levels to keep players engaged.
Despite these minor complaints, I highly recommend Fix-it-up: World Tour to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing game. With its engaging storyline, easy-to-play gameplay, and fun graphics and sound effects, it's a great choice for players of all ages and skill levels.
