Editor's Summary
I've been a member of the Fitness House sports club network for a while now, and let me tell you, it's been a wild ride. I've got a multi-card that lets me visit several of their clubs, but the premium segment has been a total letdown. I've been to the pool at Fitness House a bunch of times, and it's always been a great experience – the staff is super friendly, and it's always clean and well-maintained. But the gym has been a different story. I've visited a few of their clubs in St. Petersburg, and while some have been awesome, others have been total disasters. All in all, I'd say Fitness House is a bit of a mixed bag – some great perks, but also some major downsides. For example, the website hasn't always been up-to-date, which has led to some major confusion and frustration. And some of the staff can be a bit gruff or unfriendly, which is a major turn-off. But hey, it's not all bad – the yoga classes at Fitness House are top-notch, and the sauna and showers are always spotless.

Hello everyone.
I'm sharing my honest thoughts about Fitness House sports club network.
I've got a multi-card and have visited several of their clubs.
I mostly go to the pool at Fitness House, and occasionally visit the gym.
A Negative Experience with Fitness House
The only thing I can't do with my multi-card is visit premium segment sports clubs.
I had a weird incident related to this.
It was a total bummer for me, and it was awful.
I decided to visit another fitness club for some variety.
I traveled all the way across town, wasted a lot of time, and my surprise was when the administrator told me - you can't come in, from such-and-such a date our club became premium.
That's exactly what played a cruel joke on me - the information on the website hadn't been updated, and I traveled all the way across town to hear - you can't come in.
I mainly go to the pool at Fitness House. I'll tell you about a few Fitness House clubs I was able to visit in St. Petersburg.
Fitness House on Shuvalova
Fitness House on Shuvalova in Murino is okay, I guess.
The only thing I don't like is that to get from the locker room and shower to the spa area, you have to go down to the floor below, which is a real pain because it's quite chilly in the corridor, and you have to go in a swimsuit.
I don't like Fitness House Murino-Deviatkino-Shuvalova for one reason - the pool is on the first floor, and you can only get to it from the third floor, so you have to go into the fitness club on the second floor, go up to the locker room on the third, and then go down to the first floor to the pool.
It's super inconvenient, and the shower is on the third floor.
There are also shower stalls near the pool, but they're not enclosed, just to rinse off.
There's another thing that doesn't appeal to me - the relaxation loungers are right in front of the pool.
Usually, guys sit there and watch women swim, which is a bit awkward.
I really like the yoga section at Fitness House on Shuvalova, which, by the way, isn't available in all fitness clubs.
The yoga trainer Natalia opens up the world of yoga for you, and after that, your world will never be the same.
Yoga classes are held weekly, every Monday, and if you don't miss them, you'll get a weekly reboot.
The pool is notable for its walls decorated with paintings of the ocean floor - there are cliffs, sharks, jellyfish, and the walls are a deep blue color, like the deepest ocean floor.
The ceiling is high, but it's exactly what makes you feel like you're not at the beach at all.
You can see all the ventilation, some pipes.
In general, when you're swimming on your back, it looks like you're at some kind of factory.
Roof in the pool of Fitness House Murino
The relaxation zone is equipped right in the pool, and there are three chairs under artificial wood. There are also five benches installed around the pool, but nobody usually sits on them, and they're used to put their belongings.
Although, there are hooks in the pool area.
There are six lanes in the pool.
The pool floor is sloped, with a deep and shallow entry point.
Fitness House on Polytechnicheskaya
I especially liked the fitness house in the area near the Polytechnicheskaya metro station on Polytechnicheskaya Street.
The feature of this gym is the Himalayan sauna, which is a hot salt room lined with Himalayan pink salt bricks.
I wonder if they really brought it from the Himalayas?
Fitness House on Polytechnicheskaya
There's also an infrared and Finnish sauna. They're nothing special, but... The benches go up to three levels, not two, like in other fitness houses.
And the hammam is really impressive.
The floor is made of small pebbles, and the benches are like sofas.
There's also a jacuzzi in this complex on Polytechnicheskaya Street.
The pool is standard, but with a stylish design.
There's a separate boxing room, a stretching room, a cardio room, and a weightlifting room.
I even got lost counting the number of rooms and got confused in the corridors.
Each room is a different color, creating a certain atmosphere.
It's really cool.
By the way, recently, the fitness house on Polytechnicheskaya has become a premium gym, so now you can't get in with a multi-card.
Fitness House on Kultury
There are three pools in the fitness house on Kultury!
Ladies, be careful at the fitness on Kultury - don't stand near the door leading to the pool naked, as the benches where men usually rest are right in front of the women's shower, and curious men might see everything! But the view from the running tracks is really nice.
The only thing is that the windows might not be very clean. In the infrared sauna at the fitness house on Kultury, the ceiling is made of cedar logs, and it smells really nice.
But I'm actually afraid to go to the fitness house on Kultury just for the gym.
I've got to admit, one of the reasons I was hesitant to join the gym in the first place was the transparent stairs leading up to it.
I'm afraid of heights, and seeing the ground from above always makes me nervous.
Every time I go to the gym, it's like a big challenge for me.
Fitness HouseIf you're afraid of heights like me, I'd recommend avoiding the Fitness House on Culture.
Fitness House in Devyatkino
I have to say, the Fitness House in Devyatkino is the most inconvenient for me – it's small and cramped.
Fitness House in DevyatkinoOn the other hand, it does have a Jacuzzi – not all Fitness Houses have one.
Fitness House on Marshak
The Fitness House on Marshak has some amazing sunset views, which you can enjoy right from the pool.
Fitness House poolPlus, the relaxation zone has music – not all Fitness Houses have that.
What Surprised Me About Some Fitness Houses
I was surprised to find that in some Fitness Houses, the shower curtains in the changing rooms are spaced out by one stall.
It's happened to me more than once – I've had to wait for a stall to be free, and in the meantime, I've become an accidental exhibitionist.

My Takeaway
I hope my observations will help you make a more informed decision when choosing a Fitness House location.
