A Fun Day Out with the Kids at Fidgetal: Worth the Drive?

summarizeEditor's Summary

We took the kids to Fidgetal for a fun day out and had an absolute blast. The hill was a real adrenaline rush, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The build quality of the equipment was solid, which gave us peace of mind. We loved the lively atmosphere and the value for money was great. That being said, the weather wasn't cooperating, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor activities as much as we wanted to. We're already planning our next trip!

We decided to give Fidgetal a shot because it's something new and different, and it's not too pricey. Plus, you can drive there, which is a major bonus for us.
There's a parking spot right next to the entrance where you can leave your car and walk under the gate without any hassle.
We were planning to go for a walk around the city, but the weather wasn't exactly cooperating, so we settled for a day out at Fidgetal instead.
The hill is a real thrill, and the kids love it - even the adults can have a go, but be prepared to get a bit bruised!
The chill-out zone is a great idea, but it's hard to relax when there are so many other things to do!We chose Fidgetal for three main reasons: it's something new and different, it's not too pricey, and you can drive there, which is a major bonus for us.
Let's get down to business.
We bought our tickets through the T-Bank app, which gave us a 25% cashback - a nice little bonus!
The kids' ticket costs 500 rubles, while the adult ticket is 800 rubles. There are also special deals for different groups, like one adult and two kids, but we didn't qualify for that one.
We ended up going just the two of us, which worked out fine.
Parking can be a bit tricky - there's a paid parking lot right next to the entrance, but it's 100 rubles for a few hours. However, if you're willing to walk for a bit, there's a free parking spot on Obvodny Canal just a couple of minutes away.
We arrived a bit early, but they let us in, and we were given these cool wristbands that you need to wear to access the attractions.
On the way in, there's a cloakroom and a pretty decent toilet, but no place to grab a bite to eat - we ended up having a picnic in the car with our trusty thermos.
The space itself is two stories high, with a bunch of different attractions on each level.
On the first floor, there are some great rides, including a rollercoaster that's perfect for kids, a few arcade games, and some really comfy chairs - my personal favorite!
On the second floor, things get a bit more interesting, with some really cool games that are definitely worth checking out.
One thing that really bugged me was that they don't provide any instructions on how to play - you just have to figure it out yourself.
For example, there's this one game where you have to color in a cat and then scan it to bring it to life on the screen - it's a great idea, but it's a real pain to get it right!
I ended up with a cat that was stuck on the screen with a bright pink nose - not exactly what I was going for!
There's also this one zone with a huge digital screen, but it's really hard to relax when there are so many other things to do!
We ended up spending about two to two and a half hours there, and the kids had an absolute blast - I was a bit more skeptical, but it was still a fun day out.
For parents, there are these awesome beanbag chairs that are perfect for catching a few winks - I, on the other hand, spent the time writing this review!
