After visiting the Ferrari museum in Maranello, we decided to take a spin in a real Ferrari - a bucket-list experience for my husband.
25 January 2026 Ferrari Roma SpiderMy husband was the lucky one, not me. He got to drive the Ferrari, while I was stuck in the backseat.
There's a car rental place near the museum where you can rent Ferraris and Lamborghinis - a dream come true for any car enthusiast.
The minimum time is ten minutes, and it costs 120 euros (9 kilometers) for the Ferrari Portofino. We chose 12 kilometers for 210 euros, which was a bit pricey, but worth it for the experience.
The passenger pays 20 euros extra, and we also bought a photo for 30 euros. We picked the Ferrari Roma Spider, which was an amazing choice.
My husband was driving, with an instructor sitting next to him, who was more focused on showing us the track than actually driving.
I sat in the backseat, which was tiny and uncomfortable - not the most ideal spot for a ride.
