Editor's Summary
I got a surprise from Natalya Shik - a pack of face patches. I've been using eye patches regularly, so this was a lovely gift. What I love is that these patches aren't just for the eye area. They're designed for the entire face, and each one comes in its own packaging. I'm a sucker for good packaging, and Natalya Shik always delivers. But what really caught my attention was the product itself.
Specifications
I recently got a nice surprise from Natalya Shik - a pack of face patches. I've been using eye patches regularly for a while now, so this was a lovely gift.
What I love about these patches is that they're not just for the eye area. They're designed for the entire face, and they come in individual packaging.
I'm a sucker for good packaging, and Natalya Shik always delivers. But what really caught my attention was the product itself.
According to the manufacturer, these patches are designed for intense and prolonged care of the eye and cheek areas. They're meant to leave your skin looking healthy and radiant, and to help combat age-related changes.
Developed for intense and prolonged care of the area around the eyes and cheek zone. Fills the skin with healthy shine and helps to resist age-related changes. Exclusive anatomical shape of patches guarantees comfortable use. The viscose base gives a lot of product and adheres tightly to the skin. Patches are ideal for nighttime use, can be left for up to 8 hours. In the morning, the skin looks refreshed and rested.
Active components:
• Peptide complex smooths out skin texture, has a regenerating effect, reduces the depth of facial wrinkles.
• Niacinamide moisturizes, improves skin tone.
• Alpha-arbutin brightens, smooths out skin tone.
• Adenosine triggers skin cell regeneration, smooths out skin texture, slows down age-related skin changes.
• Tranexamic acid smooths out skin tone and brightens dark spots.
• Glutathione has a strong antioxidant effect, brightens age spots.
They claim to refresh, moisturize, and improve skin tone while slowing down aging processes. Sounds pretty logical to me, and I appreciate the lack of exaggerated claims.
The same information is printed on the back of the packaging, just in case you need a refresher.
Now, let's get to the fun part - opening the patches and seeing what all the fuss is about.
I was expecting the usual hydrogel format with a lot of liquid/essence, but nope. Instead, I got a fabric base on one side and a hydrogel on the other.
I'd describe it as a hydrogel sticker, with a sticky base that adheres well to the skin without dripping or running.
At first, I was skeptical - what's the point of a patch without any liquid? But I decided to give it a shot.
Applying the patches was a breeze, and they stayed put for a decent amount of time. I left them on for 1.5-2 hours, and when I removed them, my skin felt...different.
The sticky base had absorbed into my skin, leaving behind a slightly dry feeling. But the good news is that my skin looked...refreshed. The tone was smoother, and I could see a subtle glow.
Now, I do want to warn you about one thing - removing the patches can be a bit tricky. They tend to pull on the skin a bit, so be gentle when you take them off.
I'm impressed with these face patches. They're a great addition to my skincare routine, and I'll definitely be repurchasing them.
