Oxygen Stain Remover EXTRA OXY for Whites and Colors by Faberlic

I've tried my fair share of stain removers, but this one from Faberlic really takes the cake. It's perfect for tackling tough stains on both white and colored fabrics - and the best part is, it's gentle yet effective. I've used it on everything from food spills to grass stains, and it's always gotten the job done without damaging my clothes. It's a total game-changer for anyone who's struggled with pesky stains in the past. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm really impressed with the build quality and how easy it is to use. Plus, the price is amazing value for money - it's a no-brainer.

Four Stars for Faberlic's Extra Oxy: A Decent Stain Remover, But Not a Game-Changer

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been using Faberlic's Extra Oxy stain remover for a while now, and while it gets the job done, it's not the most impressive product in the Home series. The packaging is pretty standard, but I appreciate the detailed instructions on the back. One major drawback is the lack of a child-proof lid - any curious kid can easily open it. I also had to get creative with measuring the product, as there's no measuring cup or marks on the lid. On the bright side, the composition is decent, and it's a good value for money. If you're looking for a reliable stain remover, this might be worth a shot, but don't expect it to be a game-changer. It's not effective at removing all types of stains, so you might need to use something else for tougher stains. I've been using it for a week and it still seems to be working well, but I wouldn't recommend it for delicate surfaces or outdoor furniture. It's safe to use around kids and pets, but make sure to follow the instructions and use it in a well-ventilated area.

I'm sharing my honest review of Faberlic's Extra Oxy stain remover, a product I've been using for a while now. As someone who's tried most of the Home series products from Faberlic, I was excited to see how this one would perform. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
The packaging is pretty standard, but what caught my eye was the backside. It's got all the info you'd need on the product - what it's for, the ingredients, how to use it, and so on.
The lid is basically just a standard screw-on cap. Now, I've got to mention the one downside of Faberlic - there's no protection against little hands getting into it. Any curious kid can easily open this lid, so it's a good idea to stash it away safely.
What really got me was the absence of a measuring cup in the packaging. There are no measuring marks on the lid either, and you're not told how many milliliters it can hold. I had to get creative and use a medicine measuring cup to get an accurate measurement - it was a real hassle. After some trial and error, I figured out that the lid holds around 4.7-5 milliliters of the product.
I've got to say, I was pretty satisfied with the composition of this product. I'd been emailing the customer support team for ages, asking about the origins of the ingredients and what kind of additives they use. They were super patient with me, and I appreciated that, especially since I've got three family members with allergies and I've had allergic reactions to some of the ingredients in the past.
According to the instructions, you can apply the stain remover directly to the stain, add it to water when soaking, or add it to your washing machine during the cycle. I've found that old, set-in stains or tough ones require soaking. I usually resort to this method with kitchen towels, but let's be real, with little ones around, it's a miracle if you can get them to use a special cloth to wipe down the table instead of their favorite towel.
My hack, and I'm sure every mom can relate, is using good old-fashioned laundry soap. I'd scrub it in, add more soap, and then toss it in the washing machine with some detergent and a stain remover. It's cheap and effective, and I'd say I get a 90% success rate with this method.
So, what does the product itself look like? Consistency, color, scent:
I've gotta say, the liquid detergent has always been thicker, but this one's like water - super transparent in color and the best part is, it's almost odorless. I mean, if you sniff it, you can catch a whiff, but it's totally tolerable. And the kicker is, after washing clothes with it, there's barely any scent left at all!
First off, this liquid detergent isn't exactly budget-friendly - it lasted me a month and a half, tops. Compared to the powder version with the same name, that one lasted me almost three months. Talk about a difference in value for money! And, funnily enough, the dry wash results were way better than the liquid ones - I'd give the powder a 100% thumbs up over this one.
If you're using the soak-and-wash method and coming into contact with the detergent, I highly recommend wearing gloves. I did, and it made all the difference. But if you're just adding it to your washing machine, you don't need to worry about it. Just be sure to take precautions when hand-washing or soaking clothes with it.
One thing I'm not a fan of is the lack of a protective cover for the lid, so we have containers with super tight-fitting lids to prevent little hands from getting into them – my 6-year-old is still struggling with them!
In terms of using the machine, the stain remover is a breeze – I measured it out, poured it in, and hit the wash cycle. Plus, there's no lingering smell from the things I washed afterwards! The sweat smell and other odors just disappear after a wash – I'm not sure if it's this machine's doing or not.
As for removing stains, it's not always a walk in the park. It handles everyday, fresh stains like a pro – I mean, it's great at getting rid of normal, everyday stains and even some tough ones on kids' clothes. But, of course, it's no magic solution for super-set-in stains, like yellowed armpits or old oil stains. I had to run those through the machine six times before they finally came out.
I really appreciate that the stain remover doesn't contain chlorine, dyes, or fragrances – it's safe to use on any type of fabric, and I've used it on both whites and blacks without any issues. The colors didn't fade or change after use, and the whites actually looked brighter and cleaner!
It's also great at removing stains from kids' art supplies – markers, crayons, and paint all come out easily. I've got a few examples to show you, like this stain on my kid's shirt from some spilled paint – it was a real bummer when I got it home, but the stain remover took care of it in no time!
But let's be real, I'm not going to show you all the dirty laundry here - I'll just say that the last photo pretty much sums it up. I've got yellow armpits, stains that just won't budge, and a tablecloth from last year's New Year's party that's still stained after three washes. It's just not worth it.
So, don't go thinking this is some kind of miracle worker that's going to get rid of all your stains. It's not. It's a solid four out of five, a decent product that's worth considering, but it's not going to change the world. And if you're looking for a value for money, it's just not there. It's a shame, really, because it's a great product - just not great enough.
It's hands down better than those other things I didn't like, and I'll definitely write about them soon as I've got the time.
I'm glad I could chat with you, Serguey, and I hope you felt comfortable and at ease with me!
I won't say goodbye just yet, I'm sure we'll catch up again soon!
